desertcart.com: National Geographic Kids Chapters: Rock Stars!: True Stories of Extreme Climbing Adventures! (NGK Chapters): 9781426330490: Bramucci, Steve: Books Review: They each loved this book and its short/ true stories - I previously gave my older 2 grandsons Bramucci's" Danger Gang and the Pirates". At 9 and 10 yrs of age they were enthralled and avidly read this book front to back in record time. I particularly appreciated references to Shakespeare, etc. which I believe broadens the children's awareness beyond that of adventure and fiction. When I discovered ROCK STARS, I immediately sent it to all 4 of my grandsons, ages 4 to 10. They each loved this book and its short/ true stories. Three of them are beginning rock climbers so it was even more relevant to them but nonetheless the stories enthralled each. All of us are looking forward to the next of Bramucci's books. Review: Great book! - This is a great book for the kid who is interested in rock climbing or being outdoors. Easy to read and does a good job describing rock climbing terminology.
