You know your pets getting their meds
I love that you know your pet is getting their medication with the flap. You can tell how hard your pet is breathing in, how many breaths they are taking and if they are actually getting the medication or not. The spacer is durable and well made, well thought out with your pets care in mind. I understand the reviews about cost and not needing name brand. Completely get it. When I spoke with my husband about needing to get a chamber/spacer and the different routes we could go he didn't want to hear anything about it. He told me to get this one and didn't understand why we were even discussing it. The inhaler alone was costing us around $400. If this was going to ensure he was actually getting that medication into his lungs it just made sense. "watching" him breathe is not a sure way to make sure he is getting the medication and after doing it twice a day for months on end it was clear I would have never known if he was or not. This chamber is also easy to take apart to clean and let air dry before putting it back together and use again. The different size cups to place over your pets snout also allow for a comfortable fit in an already uncomfortable situation. We were pleasantly surprised with how well our old man took to his inhaler and we were fortunate we were able to afford the Aerodawg spacer to help in that process. While it is an expensive product, if you are able to afford it, I would highly recommend to ensure your pet is getting the most out of their medication.

Use lots of treats when training
Works great, and so easy to use. Love the little valve that lets you see every breath that's taken.

Works perfectly with the prescription inhaler.
It’s relatively easy to use if you follow the simple directions. The only catch is getting your pet to cooperate. It took a couple of tries, but our dog has accepted it and allows the prescription puffer to do its job.

Easy to use
Easy to use. Easy to read. Easy to clean. Glad I selected this product over the other cheeper ones. You get what you are paying for.

Breathe Easy With This Inhaler Spacer
I imagine that my surprise was much the same as yours when the vet said, "Your dog needs an inhaler". My initial response was, "Can I do that at home?". They giggled and went on to explain. Their explanation of how to administer the inhaler included this particular brand device. There are cheaper ones, but I'm glad I went with this one. We use this for 2 puffs every morning and night. We have been using this for about 3 months now. At first, I did have a little trouble trying to understand what size mask to use for him, but once I ironed that out, all was well. The size I chose makes a good seal over his nose and a bit of his mouth. I just gently hold his mouth shut as we use it and he breathes through his nose. This took him very little time to adapt to. We made this a game at first and gave it the name "Puffer". Following puffer, there is always a treat. He AND my other dog both come running when I say "Puffer Time!". They both remain calm and quiet so we can count to our 10 breaths for each puff. I like that there is a flap that indicates each breath taken. That makes it easy. We wait for him to take a breath where I can see that the flap moves cleanly. That way I know it's properly placed and he's breathing normally with it over his mouth and nose. After that first breath, then I release the puff and we count 10 movements (breaths) on the indicator flap. I clean this once a week, as they say to, by easily pulling apart the few pieces and swishing around in a bowl of soapy water. It dries pretty quickly and is ready by the next time we need it. My only complaint is that over these last few months, even with regular cleaning, there is residue left behind. Most of this can be wiped out, but swish as I might with the soapy water, it will NOT get the area inside where the indicator flap is clean. So this is now so cloudy that it's getting tough to see the flap. I don't see any way to get a small bottle brush or anything else in that area to clean it. This has been a life-saving device for us so I'll still give it 5 stars, but I'm super frustrated about not being able to clean out that area. This was NOT cheap and I've been taking extremely good care of it. I would hope it lasts more than 3 months! Aside from that issue, it's truly a great medical tool.UPDATE:I've lowered this to 4 stars due to a frustrating experience with customer service. I called regarding the cloudy interior that will not clean. It was very difficult to get the customer service rep to understand that I CLEAN THIS AS PER THEIR INSTRUCTIONS! I have cleaned it like clockwork, every Sunday since we started using it. That's just not cutting it! First she suggested that it's condensation. It's not. Then it was try warm water. I have! I've tried everything from cold to hot water. I swish, I soak, I move it left right, right left and down up and up down. No luck! She suggested that I do all the things I've been doing. Then asked how often we use it. The answer is daily. 2 puffs in the am and 2 puffs in the pm. She apparently thought that was a lot and suggested that I clean this more frequently. Maybe try a different soap? I now clean this every 2-3 days and I've switched to the strongest DAWN dish soap there is. No luck. I was informed that they suggest replacing this yearly. I can accept that, but I've only used this for 3 months! How can they sell something this important that can't be cleaned? If I can find a less expensive alternative I'll have to try it. The inhalers are already costing me an arm and a leg and I simply can't afford to replace this $60 thing every 3 months because it's not possible to clean.

Anything for my little pal...
Very happy with AeroDawg, as is my dog... it comes with 2 fittings for their nose and he almost looks forward to his twice daily 'shot'...this combined with his medication have been a great experience.

Good product
This worked very well for my Great Dane. He wasn’t a fan of it but we managed to use it for several weeks while he was on his medication. I wish they had a slightly bigger option but this still worked well.
