AVC Designs Double Pine Bed Frame Grey Wooden Shaker Style Bedroom Furniture (Grey)

Bought this as we needed a bed quickly for an up-coming unexpected visit. Very good value for the price, assembly was better than most of these things can be. All the components were well labelled and putting it together on my own was very easy. Once up and with a grandchild in, she said it was really comfortable. Recommended if you aren't looking to spend big money but want a sturdy item.

Okay so this bed isnt solid oak, or hand crafted by award winning carpenters but it is definitely fit for purpose providing you aren't going to decide to grab your pogo stick and start aiming for a world record in the middle of the night for something to do.Quality and sturdiness is fine providing you aren't heavy handed when putting together as I could imagine putting some pressure in places would split the wood or paint however I personally didnt have an issue. The only slight snag I ran into was with a cross threaded bolt which was a bit stubborn getting on (and it was the last one) but apart from that everything was fine.Instructions are enough for what you need and everything comes numbered including the bags of screws and bolts etc so it makes it really simple and straight forward.The bed was for my 11 year old son and he has not had any trouble so far (had the bed 3 weeks now) and he loves it.I would recommend and would definitely buy again if I needed for another bedroom.Summary - Bargain price, good bed, looks smart and clean, modern and sturdy.

The bed is good quality for the price and was easy for me to put up alone.Nice bed and exactly what you see on the picture is what you get.The only thing I am not sure with is even with a lovely memory foam mattress, the fixed slats make the bed quite uncomfortable. If you get this bed get a super thick and springy mattress too.

We ordered two of these beds, because they were the only ones we could get delivered in time for moving into our new house.I checked the weight recommendations, up to 110kg supposedly.At 11:30pm we finished making the beds up, after spending the day moving house, absolutely exhausted, got the beds set up and my daughter sat on the bed, she weighs around 45kg and as soon as she sat down the bed broke. Like her backside was hanging through the bottom of the bed.Absolute shocking quality.So today I will be buying wood and brackets to reinforce the whole bed, because that is the only way to not have them sleeping on mattresses on the floor till next pay day.The quality of these beds is shocking, and shouldn’t be being sold really, absolute garbage.I’m quite annoyed with myself that I didn’t stop to take a photograph, because I was that tired and just wanted to fix the bed as best I could, she then very slowly and carefully lay on the bed so it didn’t collapse again, spending the first night in our now house terrified to roll over. Cheers! What a memory.
