Game changer!!
I know, how can a cup extender be a game changer right? Just trust me, it is! I bought two, one for me and another for my husband who was constantly spilling his hydro flask water on the passenger side and complaining about it. Not only can he use it for his hydro flask now but there’s a card holder and wallet insert as well so he won’t lose his wallet in the car again. (He was losing it once a week at least) like I said, game changer. You need it if you have cups that don’t fit in your car. You need it if you have a phone and haven’t quite figured out where to put it when you’re driving. You need it if you lose things in your car every week. It’s so easy to setup and use. There’s nothing not to love about it.

Works but kinda clunky, hard to size, scratched new car
This does the job but is quite tricky to size right. It has padded “bars” that extend to fit your cup holder size but rocks and forth. Don’t adjust while IN your cup holder either. That and the tipping back and forth cut up my brand new car. A bit bummed. Wish the whole thing was padded without just arms sticking out to grip your car cup holder. Super big and sticks way up still. I do like that you can unscrew to push it more to one side of your cup holder area (like to the passenger side). I take out when not in use. Will probably line my car cup holder with bubble wrap then put this in and out. One last thing, the rubber flaps to hold your cup were super tight on my Hydroflask that I’d have to use two hands to take it out to drink each time. Super annoying. I finally just trimmed the rubber flaps off with huge scissors. Now it works as described and I leave it in most times. I don’t have a passenger in my car most times to complain it’s in their way. Still the idea cup extender since you can push it to the side for more customization.

Useful
It is a little too wide. The little piece in the phone slot broke off but I was still able to use it.

It's awesome
It can hold a whole large bell jar or a cup with a handle! I took the foam out to make taking the cup out easier. Been using it for a year. I think these should come in an cars!

Was not steady
It kept popping out of my original cup holder. Make sure if you get this, you don’t have a cup holder that is not completely surrounded/enclosed otherwise this won’t secure in to what you do have.

Works well
Very sturdy and versatile. Stays in place, but easy to move of needed.

Item is as promised in description--but a bit bulky for my 2014 Mazda 5 van
I wanted a secure, convenient place for my phone and this cupholder with an attached phone holder looked promising. I put it all together (easy assembly) and then took it out to my car to check the fit and phone placement. I tried it all four ways, and decided that I liked having my phone positioned at front best--having it at the side or back of the cup holder seemed too awkward, and it was hard to retrieve my phone when it was on the side closest to me due to my retractable armrest. It it was a bit wobbly any way I installed it, so I decided to read the directions (when all else fails, right?) which showed that the base had flush "fins" that would simply screw out to customize it for whatever size your car's drink holder happens to be. The base diameter is 2 1/4" closed and expands out to around 3 1/2-3 3/4" by turning it clockwise.Re the cup holder, my medium size water bottle fits securely while a typical bottled water flops around a bit, but this holder is specifically designed to handle a larger water bottles and big fast-food drinks. I've got a protective cover on my phone which upright is 3 3/8" long x 9/16" wide. The phone holder fit is snug (the phone holder inner measurements are about 3 3/4" long x 13/16" wide) but not so snug that I have to "wrestle" my phone out of it. The overall dimensions of the cup holder extension (including the phone holder) are approximately 6" long x 4 1/2" wide. I've been testing it for about a week and the unit still seems overly large to me but again, the area of my center console is not very big in this little van. You'll appreciate it more if you carry around a YETI-size bottle or are a Super-size Soda fan, but the feature that led me to choose this holder was having a better place to stow my phone.
