Make sure you have 3 HDMI cables ready
I use it like other reviewers to keep both game systems connected to the TV without having to switch the cable back and forth. Super easy to setup and use. Simple switch. We use it with an older Wii system and a new Switch. Video is clear and smooth. Happy with this purchase. Just remember to order more HDMI cables at the same time if you don't have three already.

It works well, except…
I like it, but it needs to be a little wider to accept a Fire Stick plug. I had to buy an HDMI cable to make it work.

Didn't work connecting PC and Xbox series S to one monitor
When connected to my computer and xbox, it glitched a lot switching between the two devices. After a day it just stopped working completely. Buy a product with more trusted reviews.

Picture quality on 4K TV is not as good when using the switch
Unfortunately when this switch is hooked up the picture quality on the TV is not as good.We have a new 4K TV. Without this switch the cable box and the Blu-ray player when connected directly to an HDMI port on TV had excellent picture quality and the Samsung TV detected and showed an indicator of the resolution. We then attached this switch with the cable box connected to input #1 and the Blu-ray to input #2. The switch worked and could switch between the 2 - but the picture quality on the TV was not as crisp.

Overkill for my home theater, but cheap enough to not care
I have one AV setup located in a dedicated 4K home theater room that also sources a living room TV that is on an adjoining wall. I can't test this to the full 4K@120Hz but with this HDMI 2.1 switch I get the same video resolution, refresh rates, high definition audio that I get with a direct cable connection without the switch. Previous switches that I tried (only HDMI 2.0) would only give 30Hz refresh instead of 60Hz, and it seemed that I was having some problems with audio formats as well. I don't even mess around with anything less than HDMI 2.1 now since the cost of cables and most accessories is not much more than HDMI 2.0, and when you're trying to make a system with a lot of elements work correctly it's nice not to have to wonder if the problem is a cable or a switch limitation.Like the others that I have tried this seems to self-power from HDMI just fine, and I have yet to find a switch that really needs the extra USB power. However if you want to retain the switch state when all of the connected HDMI devices are powered down then the external power source might be needed. A USB cable is included, but a power adapter is not.I did not have any trouble using the switch bidirectionally as someone else indicated, nor do I see any picture degradation at all as you might in the days of analog. The listing is very clear that this is NOT a splitter which would simultaneously feed two displays from a single source. That's a different device. This bidirectional switch when used in the 1-in 2-out configuration is strictly for choosing one display or the other, but not both at the same time. This is a manual switch and there is no remote control, so I don't know why we are being asked to rate the remote control.Seems like a good product for the price.

Works nicely with multiple consoles.
I use this to share an HDMI port with a PS5 and Xbox Series X. Works smoothly and I have no issues with either console during operation. I get full resolution and refresh rate. High quality product.
