Works as it should

I did purchase this Automatic Drainer because comes complete (all that you need) at a reasonable price, there are cheaper YES but don’t come with all the extra NIPPLES / Valves, etc. that you need, and this does.Something to NOTE is if you are planning to install this unit in a USED Compressor (like me) that already have some RUST inside, You have to make sure to clean all that before you install if not the DIRT with makes your automatic drainer STUCK, so make sure to clean the tank before installation.My only complaint is the Timer the maximum period for a drainer is 45 MIN (between Drains), in my personal case is too often, easy fix I put a time that will activate the Unit 3 times a day (6AM/12PM/8PM) and that work great. (Attached Picture from Harbor Freight).After two months of use, I am very happy with the Unit and recommended it.Thanks

Works great! The adjustment knobs are under dust caps. Remove the dust cap and then adjust. I thought I had a bad device till I figured that out!

I installed this valve per the instructions. The valve operated and was cycling properly during a test before I turned on the compressor. When I turned on the compressor, I noticed a hissing sound, and when the automatic valve was not cycling open, the valve wouldn't fully close, and the tank was losing air. I tried opening the strainer valve to purge any junk that might be in the line, but this has not helped. Essentially the compressor has to run all the time in order to keep up with the air leak. The product didn't work from the start. I've contacted Industrial Air several times about this issue, and have never gotten a reply. Very poor customer service. I'm hoping this review prompts a response of some kind. Without customer service helping with this, this was a great idea but a huge waste of money.UPDATE: They sent me a replacement, but after removing the old one, making sure the tank drain was clear, and installing the new one, I can hear the valve attempting to cycle but the automatic valve never closes, so I cannot keep the compressor from leaking out. The replacement didn't work for even a second. Getting an altogether different brand unit at this point...

I installed the Automatic Compressed Air Tank Drain Kit in about an hour using a hoist to lift the compressor off the floor and ease access to the factory petcock. Auto drain has been in service now for a right about two weeks and it cycles and discharges flawlessly. Kit contains everything necessary to get the product up and running. Two weeks in I am pleased with product and would purchase again. One note the timer function has a screw on protective cap that hides the actual dial which sets the timer may be the same for the discharge time don't remember now. In any event had I read the instructions they may have indicated this. AAA+

Unit installed easily. I used Loctite 565 on the 90-degree connector male threads before installing in the tank. Easy to set the duration that the valve is open and the time between valve activation. I don't need the tank drain opening every 45 minutes, so I purchased a Century Heavy Duty Digital 7-day programmable timer (available at Amazon). This way, I can have the power to the drain turn on twice daily. This unit comes with a hose w/threaded fitting to carry the drain water away from under the compressor.

This is very nice to have. No longer do I forget to drain my air tank of moisture. Buying a muffler along with it is essential to limit the noise of the air.
