Over the years I have bought numerous types of wild bird seed. With all of them I have found that a quantity of the seed is discarded and left uneaten. Birds can be surprisingly fussy! This brand of seed has been much better than most and I have found that there is very little waste. This may in part be because the feeder I am using has a large tray attached which means that it is able to be used by collared doves and wood pigeons which seem to be less fussy than smaller birds. I have found that the small birds prefer a different feeder which can only be accessed by small birds and which contains sunflower hearts, which they seem to prefer. This seed was also reasonably priced and I will certainly buy it again. My only grumble is that it is not completely "no mess". I have found grass growing underneath the feeder where some seeds have fallen. However, apart from this, this is good seed and I am happy to recommend it.

Often have 3 or 4 birds at the feeder at the same time - sparrows, robins, wrens, blue tits, great tits and the odd Chaffinch - so presumably they are what is needed. Will happily continue to re-order from 'Happy Beaks'.

Don't tend to get much bird variety in my neck of the woods, but area boasts a good population of sparrows and starlings how relish this product and consume it in double-quick time. It is much better value than some other bird seed products bought in the past and, though not entirely mess-free, it is also compares well with other "brands".

There is nothing to dislike with these products the wild birds love them

All good and the robin, tits and sparrows are flocking to the feeders. I'm really happy with the quality of the product.

We decided to try this feed. Havlng several RSPB feeders we found that the seed had a tendancy to spill out of this type of feeder. A bit of waste . The birds do love this stuff witnessed by the crowd of assorted winged warriors who gathered round, no problem there. The snag is the weak packing and the kicking it gets from Yodel. Ours arrived as basically a a burst box and a white bag. Some loss evident from the bag. The tape seal is not good enough, especially when left to the care of Yodel. Nylon or metal banding is required on boxes this size, 20 kg lots would not be worth the risk for us. Despit this it's a good product .Move on a few weeks, Mess mess mess, Attracts rats, large patch of weeds now growing. Some birds won't touch this stuff. Dry stored it now smells bad. It's going on the bonfire today.
