It's a good replacement for the old one, but it's a bit light, especially in windy conditions. That's why I gave it 4 stars.

A decent light fixture for the price, but not extremely high quality, and mostly plastic. We installed it on our covered front porch and it is fine/fully functional. It’s only been up for just under a year, so I’m not sure of its longevity, but so far so good!

I had already reviewed this with photos but it was not posted. I no longer have the photos, and you can see what it looks like from other reviewers photos. We are not allowed in Canada to post reviews of the packaging so I only had photos of the light which I no longer have on my phone, Okay so I found this to be HUGE. Or maybe because my entrance way is a little smaller or looks smaller but it's really really lovely. Reminds me of 15th/16th England or there of and so I love that sort of Dickens Christmas village look it has. This has to be wired in and was pretty straightforward. It is metal and glass, and what struck me was that it had an open bottom. Don't know why I was thinking it was closed entirely or at least could be closed. It did not come with the e26 lightbulb, you'll have to buy that but they're super affordable and you can choose the style you want although the interior is only so big, so you'll probably want a more elegant bulb to go with the style and design of the light, nothing obnoxious. The day/dusk feature is neat. It gets super dark where I live really early on like 7:45 now so this is fantastic. I actually really like it. Love that you can adjust the hanging length a little to suit your needs. You probably don't want it right over your door as it would knock peoples heads unless you have a super high Victorian Porch ceiling or front entrance that is covered. If not covered than you're stuck finding a way to attach this somehow. Could also be really cute indoors, as a kitchen island light but not sure how the day/dusk sensor would work. Back patio would be great too as long as it's covered. Love the aesthetics and the material seems pretty durable. I found this to be a heavier lamp, others found it lighter in weight. I don't think you'd want anything too heavy hanging but that's just me. Overall for the price point and look, what a great aesthetic to add to your outdoors and upgrading your home a little!
