Now that I am comfortable with using and cleaning it
this is my second one. the first one went through 50+ trees in a summer and I really just beat it up. it was my first chainsaw and didnt really know how to take care of it. Now that I am comfortable with using and cleaning it, it has lasted better and starts right up.

and Basswood trees all dropped easily with this saw
I bought a Wild Thing for my first chainsaw. I went through 2 bars and three chains cutting and clearing 5 acres of trees. Maples, Poplars, Balsams, and Basswood trees all dropped easily with this saw. I never had starting issues. At times the brake system was suspect, but I think when wielding a chainsaw one should be more than careful anyway. I paid $120 for it. One big warning is that if you use this chainsaw for extended periods of time it will vibrate your joints. If you are going to cut a lot of trees... Buy an expensive saw. If you are just going to limb some trees and cut rarely... Buy this saw with no doubts. UPDATE: The saw just broke today. The center bolt that holds everything together actually twisted itself in two...no repairing this saw.

Not bad for the money.
Got this saw and immediately tried cuttind down a large tree stump. I did OK. A little light on power but did get the job done. Had trouble with it now idling. Took to local Poulan service rep and they adjusted the carb and it work much better. Not bad for the money. Good for Homeowner use.

Gets the job done... kinda
I bought this chainsaw to cut firewood so it has seen plenty of hours of use last summer. At first it works great with 1 pull starts. After having cut about 2-3 cords worth of wood, the main problem was the engine cutting out. It started fine, idled fine, and cut fine. But as soon as I let off the throttle/trigger the engine will cut out. This is a carburetor issue which I will clean (everything else was checked/replaced/serviced. But somewhat disappointed that i need to dissassemble and clean it. An annoying truth about 2-cycle engines but was hoping I'd have a full season before having to service the thing.

Do not buy this product.
Used twice. First & last. Terrible product. Does not work properly. Can not start.

not "easy start"
This saw is not any easier to start than any other chain saw. So Poulan's claim that it is "easy start " is false. Once going it cuts through trees fast.At first it kept stopping but by day 2 it did not do that any more.

Outstanding Value
I bought this saw in March of 2012 (thank God I did) and had no idea what an outstanding purchase it would be. I live in NJ and was hit very hard by Hurricane Sandy losing approximately 8 large oak trees and countless branches. I ran this saw almost continually for two months. I definitely asked this saw to do much more than I should have, and it really came through! It just keeps cutting and cutting and cutting. It starts and runs great every time. Being that I had so much cutting to do, I found it much easier to purchase replacement Oregon blades on Amazon for $16.99 rather than tedoiously waste time sharpening. Other than the blades, I have not serviced it once. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this saw, and for the price it cannot be beat! This saw did everything I asked it to do and more, and I definitely got my money's worth. I even had a tree professional that he had a "Wild Thing" at home and he thought it was a great little saw. If I had to throw this saw away tomorrow, I would not hesitate to purchase another one.

Good buy for the price
I've only had it for a month, but it's definitely delivered! It starts hard when it's cold, takes about 5 minutes of idling to get warmed up, but it chewed through anything I put in front of it. Good buy for the price!
