I ordered the Lalo suction bowls for my discerning daughter for my young grand baby. My daughter has taught me so many new (OLD?) ways of feeding babies. She uses the 101 by 1 approach to feeding, so the baby eats mostly the same foods as the parents. No processed 'baby' food garbage.Watching a 7 month old baby pick a strawberry up from her little Lalo bowl and nosh on was almost enough to make me get ready for the Heimlich. While my heart almost failed, the suction on the Lalo bowl didn't come close to failing, and held the vessel firmly in place. Next up was eggplant pasta in the other bowl. I was a bit concerned that the sauce might stain the bowl, but again, it proved to be a wise choice as even though sauce may have stained the bib, it didn't stain the beautiful sage green Lalo bowl.We are well pleased with the entire Lalo set we ordered, the suction bowls, suction plates, and even the lidded sippy cups with straws.

Great bowl set. These are a must have if your baby likes to toss or push their plates and bowls off of the table. They stick really well. They are soft but sturdy. They can be washed in the dishwasher and so far have not had any staining or discoloration. They are also very attractive.

The media could not be loaded.  We chose the Lalo plates and bowls based on a review we found on a baby registry website. The quality is impressive, with durable, non-flimsy silicone. They also withstand scissors when cutting baby's food without scratching the bottom.However, it is worth mentioning that we encountered a challenge with the suction feature, as it did not adhere securely to the plastic tray of our Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair or our wooden kitchen table. Conversely, we observed excellent suction performance when applied to our quartz countertop.Despite this small hiccup, the Lalo set is reliable and durable for feeding. Unfortunately, we just aren't able to use it as frequently as we'd like.

These bowls are thick and very high quality. The suction is very very strong and we've had no issues of our little one pulling them off. They're very easy to clean and can be tossed in the dishwasher. They're very soft and little one friendly. Overall great set of bowls to have especially to use on the go.

These were gift for my sister and 1 year old nephew.After a month of use, they are holding up just fine in the dishwasher.The suction cup is strong enough to stay put, and the ease of cleaning in the dishwasher is great.Overall they are a hit with parents and baby alike! I get bonus points for the gift because of the cute color and great, recognizable brand :)

When I received these bowls and looked at them, my first thought was "how is that a suction base, it doesn't look like it could possibly stick to anything?" So I put it aside (gently) on the countertop, then tried - in vain - to lift it up again afterwards. It literally blew my mind how effective the suction was, and how easily it released when pulling the tab. Some further playing around confirmed that yes, the suction is incredibly strong from a direct pull, but either a twisting motion or pulling the tab could get it off pretty easily.I hand-washed the bowls, set them out to air dry, and came back in the morning to use them... only to discover that the incredible suction from the previous day was gone! I have no idea what happened or what I did to change this. They seem like such good quality bowls, and I'll still gladly use them even without suction, but I do feel a bit let down. Hopefully it's just something I did and others will have better luck.As for the bowls themselves, they're the usual high quality silicone that Lalo uses in all their products which feels soft and durable. The base feels reinforced with something to make it stiffer, and the sides are pretty thick as well which gives them an innate stiffness which should serve any purpose. I also like that the base goes from completely flat to completely vertical quickly but smoothly, which makes it a bit harder for a baby to knock food out of the bowl without giving it a groove where food can get stuck and harder to pick up. Other than my issues with the suction, this bowl seems perfect.

These are great suction bowls! Very durable and easy to put into dishwasher to clean! Good suction power on high chair tray, and the bowl height is just about right for a 11 month old baby. Recommend!

I ordered the "Grapefruit" color, which is a pale pink. These bowls came packaged in a nice bag that says "Baby Got Snack," which is funny and suitable for gift-giving! These are sturdy, thick-rimmed, silicone bowls with one large suction cup on the bottom. They are easy to clean, microwavable and dishwasher safe.As other have mentioned, the suction cup on these bowls works on some surfaces to an acceptable degree (especially clean, granite countertops), but if there is ANY unevenness, such as can be found on a plastic highchair tray, etc., these bowls likely will not stick firmly enough to the surface. I experimented on a number of surfaces and was a bit disappointed on a wooden table and plastic highchair tray. If you add a drop of water to the suction cup, it helped a little, but could be slid a bit, then easily lifted.I am thinking that the problem lies with the raised lettering on the bottom of the bowl/suction cup--it might need a redesign to improve the suction. For now, I would give this product a 3.5 star rating.
