Fantastic piece of kit! Very, very easy to use. Straight forward instructions. Works perfectly. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend this detector to anyone who uses gas appliances in their home. Also fantastic on site as a safety measure when working near gas.

Recently had a smelly of gas in the house and was obviously a bit concerned so bought this. It arrived the next day and I could see it was a quality bit of kit as soon as unpacked it. It was simple to set up too. I tested the area where I had smelt gas the day before and was relieved to see that there was no leak. I was impressed with the accuracy of this as I'd tested it with lighter gas and the oven before using it properly. I am very impressed with it

Works very well. it is very sensitive and will find the smallest of leaks. downside is that it is fragile. a knock will turn it off and when it is in ones pocket the buttons will compress and turn on the detector.

The gas man said that a detector off amazon might not be very accurate, but the amazon detector confirmed a gas leak in my babys room, so I would say its accurate enough!! Keeping this thing around in case - definitely worth the money to keep my family safe!!

Good peace of mind, I could smell gas this confirmed it, and exactly where the leak was. My boss thought it wasn't worth reporting , the pen proved it was.

Awesome pen - picked up a small gas leak from pipes leading to my gas meter - confirmed by SGN. Can't recommend enough, removed the family and dog called British gas, who had an SGN engineer with us within 30 minutes on Easter Monday at 11.30pm.Brillinat pen and response from SGN / British gas.

Literally a life saving device. We had a faint smell of gas for a couple days but could not locate the source. After just 5 minutes using this device the leak was found. It just works exactly as you’d expect and want it to work.

For the price, this item works great. It is not a detector that sniffs the air for readings like the long probes you see energy companies have. It is a smaller device that works well for testing for natural gas leaks at the source. This means you must hold it gently against an area that you want to check for a moment. It is great for checking around valves or other seals that could leak gas such as your water heater tubes or gas stove. I had a 1lb propane tank shut off and it was able to detect residual propane on the tip of it, which is what Xcel energy did one time with their probes in front of me, so if it can catch that, it likely will catch other non-smelling leaks, but you must go slow around the areas you are testing and also turn the S on for sensitive.

Meine Eindrücke: Funktionsweise: Der Melder reagiert schnell auf austretendes Gas und gibt einen lauten, gut hörbaren Alarmton von sich. Bedienung: Einfach in der Handhabung – einschalten, platzieren und schon ist man geschützt. Keine komplizierte Technik. Verarbeitung: Das Gerät wirkt robust und solide, dabei angenehm kompakt. Preis-Leistung: Für den Preis absolut fair. Man bekommt ein zuverlässiges Sicherheitsgerät, das im Ernstfall sehr wertvoll sein kann. Fazit: Ein Gasmelder, der zuverlässig arbeitet, ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack. Wer Wert auf Sicherheit legt, macht mit dem TopTes PT199 nichts falsch – besonders für diesen Preis eine klare Empfehlung.

Premetto che ero molto scettico quando ho fatto l'ordine in quanto pensavo fosse la solita cinesata che non funziona, invece l'apparecchio si è dimostrato all'altezza del compito. Avevo una piccola perdita di gas GPL sulla conduttura esterna ( perdita appena percettibile ) ed, una volta fatta la calibrazione, appena mi sono avvicinato al punto critico, l'apparecchio ha rilevato subito il gas. Ho fatto altre prove simulando perdite di gas, e sono state sempre rilevate. Non è un apparecchio professionale, pertanto è da usare con cautela in ambienti in cui ci sia un probabile pericolo, nel qual caso bisogna sempre rivolgersi a personale qualificato. Personalmente sono stato soddisfatto dell'acquisto.

El utensilio es muy fácil de utilizar y de llevar consigo, viene con una práctica bolsa de tela para poder llevarlo, lo he probado varias veces con bombona de butano, encendedores, etc. Y es fenomenal, incluso tiene un clio pata llevarlo en un bolsillo de la ropa de trabajo. Buen articulo.
