you will need the EZ Lock Spindle to go with blades, otherwise it will work fine - these are really good grinding wheels to have!

Q: Does this work with my Dremel multi-max?

This not a tool that will fit on a Multi-max tool. A multi-max tool cuts by sliding 3 degrees side to side. The tool you are asking about cuts by spinning. The tool shown needs to be put on an "EZ Lock Arbor" which is attached to a Dremel tool (rotating) and used to cut metal. There are other similar tools for cutting plastic and other materials. Using this cutter works well. Make sure that you start moving it from right to left when cutting. If you move it left to right, when you come to the end of the cut the cutter will grab at the end of the cut and jump off the work piece. If you don't have a strong grip on the tool it will try to jump off the work piece and could cause damage or injury. Just be careful, pay attention to what you are doing and the tool will work well. Make sure the work piece is clamped in place so it doesn't move. If the material you are cutting is thick, use multiple cuts. A little at a time is good. Good luck. Oh, wear safety glasses too!

Q: What type of lubricant should be used that won't harm this blade?

I generally don't find it necessary to use a lubricant but any light oil or wd40 shouldn't hurt.

MUCH more durable and longer lasting than the black "throwaway" abrasive wheels

Much longer lasting (not a one-use disc), and can handle significant side force, as opposed to the fiberglass-reinforced black abrasive cutoff wheels which snap very easily if you push out-of-plane on them in use. These are good for heavy duty polishing or light surface grinding, as well as for tool sharpening.

Will do a lot of metal cutting for their size.

There are certain applications where you need to cut thru a small chunk of steel in tight places. A Dremel with flex shaft and these quick release blades will accomplish what nothing else will. It is amazing how much 1/4 inch soft steel one blade will cut.

SO MUCH better than the regular, easy to break wheels.

Made short work of 3 rusted out bolts that regular cutting wheels couldn't handle at all. Just have to be careful not to heat them up too much or they will separate from their locking collar. I killed two of these wheels in cutting those bolts, but that's a lot better than the 20+ regular wheels I burned through (with almost NO progress) before I got these.
