AMAZING value! Fantastic U Bass! The acacia version DOES come with all accessories!
I got my solid Acacia Ubass today and it is flawless! I canโt find one thing wrong with it! Acacia is a close cousin to the highly revered koa wood, and to get a solid acacia instrument for under $200?!?! Wow! I am floored! This is an amazing incredible value! When I bought it I was under the impression becuase it is a premium wood, it would not come with the case and accessory packageโฆBUT IT DID! Nowhere in the photo or description did it say the accesory package comes with the acacia version. But I got the case, cable, picks, wall hanger, polishing cloth and strap! if I knew that I wouldnโt have bought the Cloudmusic baritone case for $35. I may return that case. I HIGHLY recommend you spend the extra few dollars and get the solid gloss acacia vs. the unfinished mahogany version. You wonโt regret it. The Thundergut strings have a nice sound as wellโฆI am extremely happy I got this! If I could give 50 stars for value I would. This Ubass is a STEAL! Compare with a similar Kala Ubassโฆit would be close to $1,000.

SOUND is awesome.
If you're even considering it, go for it. I usually play acoustic bass guitar. A friend lent me this Caramel, and every musician that heard me play it was blown away by the rich tone that emulates a stand-up when it's plugged in. So, I bought my own! It's wonderful, and it comes with a pretty strap, a wrench for the truss rod, a cable (small, but would work if you forgot your good cable or something), and they even threw in a spare set of batteries for the tuner (who does that?!?). This is complete quality, especially for such a low price. I'm going to feel silly playing a UBass at gigs, but I shall sacrifice my own cool image for such great sound. The padded gig bag it comes with is a slightly higher quality than many gig bags that come with an instrument (I just bought a 5-string that came with a cheap cheap gig bag), and it even has adjustable back-pack straps, and a zip pouch for putting your odds and ends in. Obviously, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Good player if you put some work into it
My background is as an electric bass player in a church band. The ubass is fun to play and the sound is easily shaped with a bass pedal (plugged to an amp or sound system). The unplugged volume is disappointing, esp. from the E and G strings. I plug it into a JBL Go2 bluetooth speaker in order to be heard in an unplugged session. When plugged in, the output from the E and G strings is also much weaker than the A and D strings. There is no truss rod (see pic) to adjust neck tension as with the similarly priced Hadean ubass. So far, this has not been a problem since the action and intonation are OK. The open tuners are cheap and needed disassembly and grease in order to turn smoothly. The nylon spacer on the tuners is weak and will shred as you use the tuners (see pic). The built-in tuner/EQ is decent and so far has good battery life (two CR2032 coin cells). The finish is OK, almost like bare wood. The trim ring on the soundhole is a mother of pearl decal. The neck is straight and build quality of the body is nice. I will be doing my own work as follows: installing strap buttons, adding side fret markers, greasing the tuners, maybe replace the sound pickup to improve the G string volume. Overall a good buy, but you will want to improve upon it yourself. Update 9/17/2019: changed review to 4 stars for customer service. The seller sent a new set of tuning keys which are much better than the original set. No issues with the new keys and they turn more smoothly than the original keys. Strap buttons are easy to install and are great for stand-up playing.

Great sound with questionable electronics and sticky strings
Great little bass with a surprisingly rich voice for it's size which only gets better when plugged in. The strings came covered in some sort of sticky foul smelling substance making it virtually unplayable until it wore off. Being thick rubber they are a bit tacky by nature but this was a residue of some kind. The electronics are a bit questionable. The volume and EQ controls are all a little scratchy but they are new and may correct themselves with use. On a similar note, the tuner gives fairly inconsistent results with values jumping from slightly under tuned to very over tuned during tune up but eventually settles on the correct tuning. The display is low contrast white on blue making it difficult to see clearly for my old eyes. Ultimately, this is a nice little beginner/intermediate bass perfect for practice, travel or just carrying around but needs amplification to project and be heard during a live performance like most any other

Pretty Dang Cool!
This is an amazing instrument. It is very much in tune with itself throughout the scale. It holds it's intonation very well after a few days of stretching the strings. I'm just impressed. It doesn't hardly cost anything yet it's a darn good axe. So tiny, but with a huge sound.

Really is a viable instrument
I half-expected it to be just a toy or a gimmick, but it genuinely is something that can fill the role of a bass guitar. Good tone, surprisingly double-bass-like with the right EQ settings. Intonation is decent rather than great, and it's a pain to tune, but that is unavoidable given the nature of the instrument, and not to the point where it's a problem. I tune to the fifth fret rather than the open string and that seems to help even out the intonation. Strings were sticky at first, but got less so after some time playing. Fit and finish is workmanlike rather than flawless, but it's very good for the price point, and there are no problems that interfere with the usability. For all that it's small and inexpensive, this is an actual viable musical instrument. Accessories are of decent quality - unremarkable, but they work okay and look fine.

All solid wood and very solid (i.e. heavy) neck. The balance is such that you may prefer to attach strap to headstock rather than the mid point button at bottom of neck. Very understatedly attractive and well made instrument. Intonation is good to 12 fret and beyond, helped by a compensated saddle. By good I mean there may be a few very minor departures beyond 12 that I picked up with a tuner, but not noticeable to the ear. Tone is warm and deep with very good sustain, no nasty buzzes, strings can 'click' a bit if caught with a nail or hard skin. Sound fairly even for strings without amp, with amp G seems a tad stronger than the others but not alarmingly so (or EAD are a tad weaker!). I used my Marshal 50 AS which was OK at low gain and volume, but definitely sounded uncomfortable at higher powers. A small bass combo is next on the list! Preamp EQ very effective with good range and effective vol out control. Tuner works well but is rather small and some letters not easy to read. Strap, connector cable, microfibre cloth, truss key, wall hanger, padded case, spare battery's etc. supplied, but no manual. Mildly disappointed that there was no manual in the box, so had to go search the internet to find out battery location and access. Still not sure how long battery will last. There is no on off switch as such but as far as I can gather, the preamp switches itself on somehow when plugged in to an amp or pedal. A manual would have been nice, but I haven't got the heart to knock off a star just for that as overall the product fully met my expectations (apart from the lack of manual- did I mention that? ;-)

For the cost, it is extremely good quality and well worth it. I am, or was, a Jazz Bass player, and due to Neuropathic pain I found the weight of the full-size guitar and the finger strength required to fret correctly almost impossible. So needed an alternative if I wanted to continue playing. Looked at stick basses but they were way outside what I could afford. I heard one of these at a local fate and decided to give the "toy" guitar a try. Well it is no "toy", through my amp it sounds great and is so easy to play. Light, keeps in tune well, in spite of using 4 elastic bands as strings :-) I am well pleased and can carry on playing bass for our Morris side.
