ReefHD Reef Flux 100 gal treatment size Review: Works great!!! - I had an explosion of green string algae and red bacteria slime!! My neighbors were selling there little tank so i bought it. Long story short I inherited issue, after issues!! Ugh! I was so frustrated! I researched everything I could find online and went to fish stores asking for advice. I ended buying this and now my tank is free and clear of all the yucky algae!!! First picture is the after picture and the others are the before. I didn’t take any good before bc my tank was embarrassing. 😩 also my tank is a 20gal but I only used one capsule for it because I have the live rock that takes up volume in the tank.. I rather under dose then over. One capsule worked! Also, if your having a aiptasia problem get some Berghia Nudibranch!!!! I bought 4 for mug little tank and I thought they died or something after like a month but then all of a sudden about a month and a half later I see tones of them in my tank. They are every single aiprasia and believe me I had a LOT! Took about 3 months to clean them out. But they’re gone!!! Yay!! Review: This stuff has ended a constant battle with bryopsis. - For years, I had battled what I thought was green hair algae. Tried every trick in the book to cure GHA, and nothing worked. It was a plague that took over one of my tanks so bad that I shut it down. I saved one piece from that tank, and put it in my other 10 year mature system, and the plague took over that system. The constant pulling of algae almost drove me completely out. I finally came across an article that explained the difference between GHA and Bryopsis, and found that other aquarists had had success in eliminating with fluconazole. I’m almost two weeks into treatment, and it’s mostly gone, and I’m seeing less of it every day. I was cleaning clumps of it off my powerheads on an almost daily basis. My powerheads have stayed completely clean since the first day I used the treatment. It also seems as if my corals are much happier and colorful, and it seems that the coraline algae growth has accelerated. Those algae plugged powerheads that needed cleaning every week are now turning purple. I’m using GFO while doing the treatment, so I’m not seeing any nutrient spikes. Really happy with it so far.

Do not use it !!!
Tank size: ~230 gallons Dosage used: 20 capsules Time since dosing: 36 hours Review: I used 20 capsules for a 230-gallon reef tank. I opened the capsules, mixed the powder with saltwater, and added it to the aquarium water as instructed. Within 12 hours (overnight) serious problems started. Fish went into severe stress/shock Snails were lost Oxygen levels dropped rapidly To prevent a full crash, I had to: Add emergency oxygen/aeration Turn the skimmer back on Perform a 20% water change At this point, 36 hours after dosing, I still don’t know if all fish will survive. There was no clear warning in the instructions about: Dangerous oxygen depletion High risk to snails The need for emergency aeration The possibility of needing immediate water changes This product may kill algae, but in large systems it can create a serious and sudden oxygen crisis. This review is written 36 hours after use, during active damage control. I will not use this product again

Watch GHA melt away
This stuff works like a dream. I have a 120 gal that’s been up now for 1 1/2 years. I was plagued by green hair algae and bryopsis much of that time. You must follow the directions. FULLY dissolve the tablets. For me this meant I emptied 3 capsules at a time into a quart of tank water over about 10 minutes for each of the 3 capsules. Don’t rush it. I also did water changes during the 3 week period and added the correct amount for the water change performed. I.e. if I changed 10 gal I added 1 capsule. I took my skimmer off line for 3 days and no carbon for 3 weeks. Ran GFO and filter socks as suggested. As expected my PO4 and NO3 went up (doubled PO4 - 1.4 and NO3 - >5) since they were no longer tied up in the GHA. I also believe that the GHA dying adds to both. I did my 30% H2O change after the 3rd week started carbon and changed GFO. I soaked all powerheads and pumps in vinegar and warm water and thoroughly cleaned. I saw no detrimental affect to any livestock and since my coraline algae has started to explode because the GHA isn’t occupying that Realestate. 😁 I had no issues with Dynos or Cyanos. I do run a 50W Pentair UV tuned for those blooms. After months of trying to manually remove and fight a losing battle I considered a tear down and Hydrogen Peroxide nuclear option. Now I’m kicking myself for not trying this sooner. I’ve been in this both professionally and as a hobbyist for over 30 years and am a skeptic of miracle cures and firmly believe that patience and persistence wins out in this hobby. This lived up to the hype and I was shocked and just how well it worked. UPDATE: After 2 weeks of some elevated levels of PO4 and NO3 with normal water changes, GFO, and NOPOX dosing PO4 is .05 and NO3 is 1.47. With no GHA to bind these and the low levels, this should prevent recurring issues 🤞

It really works!
I struggled with a couple of tufts of hair algae in my reef aquarium for over a year. Despite all my efforts, I couldn’t eradicate it. I decided to try ReefHD Reef Flux. After 3 days of the initial treatment, all the algae disappeared overnight. My fish, corals, and invertebrates all seem to be fine. This stuff is amazing and I highly recommend it. Follow the directions and be patient, it really does work.

Not a liquid
The product works well but in the description it says it's a liquid and it's not. It's capsules that you have to either try to pull apart or cut the tip off to get the powder out.

Works like a champ!
Product works as described for removing hair algae from a marine tank. I had an EXTREME infestation. I pulled out as much as I could, but there was still a lot of long stuff that I couldn’t get to. The instructions on the bottle and web site differ, but in one location they say you can add up to double the recommended amount. I have a state with 60-70 total gallons, so I used the entire 100 gallon treatment. Progress was slow at first, but after about the first week I started noticing a significant die-off of GHA. The short stuff does quickly, but longer strands take much longer to get gone. The directions make a big deal out of doing a 30% minimum water change after 3 weeks. However, I still had significant GHA (mostly the longer stuff) at that point. My fish, corals, and inverts all seem to be fine, so I did NOT do a water change. I have had the product in there for probably six weeks now, and I continue to notice additional die-off every day. I usually go for very long periods between changes, so I will do one soon. I may have to treat the tank a second time if these last few bots of GHA don’t die off, but I truly had a shocking amount of algae, so I am pleased with the results from just a single treatment.

Demolishes Bryopsis
I was at the point of pulling my hair out of my head when pulling bryopsis algae out of my tank was making no dent. 0 nitrates and 0 phosphates but the algae keeps growing? Reduced photoperiod and feeding and no difference? Not to mention that almost nothing will touch, let alone eat, bryopsis. I almost gave up on my tank, before researching fluconazole. Within the first 2 days, the algae was already wilting and turning white. The next day, It appeared to be thinning out. By the end of the first week, the algae was gone. Worked much faster than the package said. I didn't even increase the dosage beyond the recommended amount. A simple one time dosage, and it was taken care of in my 140 gallon system. I've attached some pictures of before using flux, and a wide shot of after all the algae was gone. I highly recommend pulling out all the algae you can before using reef flux, as the dying algae can raise the tank's nutrients. Get ahead of it and minimize the effect. The product works perfectly. Don't mess up and cause further problems. Get as much algae out as you can beforehand, and let the flux take the rest. It's beyond worth it. It saved my tank.
