SAXON UNLEASH HELL, FIRE AND DAMNATION Saxon proudly release their latest album Hell, Fire And Damnation on January 19th 2024, and when internationally-renowned actor Brian Blessed OBE delivers a proclamation for opening track, “The Prophecy”, expectations are automatically high. Have no fear and make no mistake, Saxon meet and exceed them on their 24th studio release, creating a superlative British Heavy Metal classic which strides the perfect line between confident, current power, and gloriously irreverent flexing of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal muscle which Saxon co-created. There is supreme confidence in every performance. Biff Byford delivers his richest vocals in years, Nigel Glockler and Nibbs Carter on drums and bass respectively lay down the rhythmic law with thunderous power, and the guitars of Doug Scarratt and Brian Tatler are fresh and fiery, a perfect complement to each other, and carrying an overall energy and fury which will have fans salivating. Lyrically, Byford enjoys investigating all areas of both history and mystery, with Marie Antoinette, Kubla Khan, the Battle of Hastings, the Salem witch trials and the fight between good and evil on the title track all in the mix. Musically, Saxon bring it all to the table. There's a furious tribute to actual heavy metal in the denim and leather coated super-sprint “Fire And Steel”, a wonderful nod to the NWOBHM's birth in the electric mid-pace “Pirates Of The Airwaves”, but maybe the true treasure amidst the jewels is “There's Something In Roswell”, with the sort of expansive groove and embrace which deserves arenas. Add to this excellent production by Biff and Andy Sneap (Sneap also mixed and mastered Hell, Fire And Damnation) and you have Saxon's most definitive statement in years. 1xCD Digipak.

Saxon continues to show how they are one of the best metal bands ever!
This is quite possibly the best metal album from the last few years. From the opening title track, to There's Something in Roswell, to 1066, to Super Charger, and my personal album favorite "Madame Guillotine" which has one of the best rhythm and bass hooks in the last decade, Saxon shows how they continue to be a force in classic heavy metal. So glad they are still rocking since 1979!

KINGS Rode out!
What can you say about SAXON after all these years and all these great platters? Just another, excellent and SOLID CD, and the addition of former DIAMOND HEAD axe slinger BRIAN TATTLER has reinvigorated the band, very much as PRIEST adding RICHIE on guitar did, and that's taking nothing away from all the SAXON gang, EVERYBODY plays their keesters off on this, solid well written tunes, great production, folks take the quality that this band delivers for granted, it's NOT easy folks, the GREATS just make it LOOK easy! I read that BIFF thinks that they have at least one more record in them, but that is no reason to pass THIS one up as it's RIGHT there with any of the others, and THAT is actually saying something. This puppy is great for start to end, and I am looking so FORWARD to hearing some of these tunes next month when they come on tour here in the U. S. with URIAH HEEP, man, I can't wait, so thanks to BIFF and the whole SAXON crew, we, the fans LOVE you guys, you ALWAYS give 110% to us, and we appreciate it, this band has been a BIG part of my life for DECADES now, and as long as they put out great platters like this one, we'll be THERE to support you!

It's Saxon, but it's great Saxon.
Great album from a great band that has been grinding it out since the late 70s.

Better than the Judas Priest album
Saxon's previous album had a few better songs, but this one sounds great and has plenty of riffy heavy metal tunes with epic themes. I lke it better and listen to it more than the Judas Priest invincible shield, and Biff Byford is rolling back someof that modulation he always sang with on his voice and it sounds AWESOME. buy this album. best track for me, Madame Guillotine, with the killer bass riff.

A New Member Joins Saxon.
After longtime Saxon guitarist Paul Quinn decided to leave the band due to being tired of touring no other than Diamond Head's Brian Tatler fills his spot. Tatler is an amazing guitarist as was the band he played in namely Diamond Head who were a big influence on Metallica. This cd titled Hell, Fire and Damnation is another strong album by Saxon and just as good as their previous album Carpe Diem, maybe ever better. After listening to Hell, Fire and Damnation I couldn't stop hearing lots of Unleash The Beast, the band's 1996 album. Saxon seems to be getting heavier and heavier with each new release. Saxon fans will want this latest release to add to their collection.

Another Fantastic Saxon album
I bought this album a month ago and it has yet to leave my cd player. It gets better with every listen. Weather you are a long time Saxon fan or new to the group I definitely recommend picking this album up

Best New Wave British Metal Band
Biff and the Boys are still kicking ass after 50 years. Just saw them in ATL and they were great. Biff still has the chops and original Drummer rocks. This album is even better than the last few. I think this might be # 24 or so. Def pick it up, sounds great, nice production.

Are you kidding me! In 2024 and it's this darn good!!!
This album is fantastic. True British power metal in iconic Saxon style. Saxon never disappoints but this album stands above the rest. This is my favorite since 2004's Lionheart album. Who would have believed that in 2024 we would be getting new albums from Saxon, Judas Priest, an excellent solo record from Bruce Dickison of Iron Maiden and a new Accept record, all in a matter of 3 months! Long live classic metal! And you can't get much better then these 4 albums in 2024. Thank you Saxon! Nearly a perfect album.
