The spoons do not have a very long handles but I was very impressed with how sturdy they are. These are great teaspoons - they are not soup spoon size. They are also very durable and I have been able to wash and reuse some of them in an effort to try to be "greener" and waste less. I like that they are biodegradable and will buy these again for our office in the future. Great everyday spoon.

I was really glad I chose to get these! I have severe depression and no dishwasher, so during low points, I use disposable dishes to help me stay fed without agonizing over washing. But I hated the idea of throwing away so much plastic that wouldn't safety rot in a landfill. With these, I can throw them in the trash and not worry about it (though I do still use them as many times as I can). They're also much better-made than I'd expected; they're stiff but not brittle/crack-prone, safe to microwave, sturdy enough to reuse multiple times, and don't melt in boiling drinks.

I purchased these for kid sack lunches. They hold up well in dishwasher for at least a couple times (we haven’t tried more times), don’t have sharp edges and are inexpensive enough to just let them get thrown away. They seem sturdy enough for most foods, and are fairly strong for plasticware but I wouldn’t try them with frozen solid ice-cream or other hard foods. We prewash them in the dishwasher, just for added piece of mind but they look clean enough right out of the box that the wash is likely not needed.

We have used these as our daily silverware for two years now. They are very sturdy and strong. I use the knives all the time to cut tough food and don't feel there is much difference between these and regular metal table knives. These don't melt or soften in hot soup. I use them in soup multiple times a week and sometimes it's to hot to eat, but the spoons never soften. I have never once experienced one of them breaking during use! They also don't bend or flex like the typical plastic silverware does.

I really like these. They are solid spoons, and don't break easily. Also, as you use them, there is no evidence of them being biodegradable. But, happily, they are. So, I don't have to worry about hauling silverware all over and dragging it back home, or sending it to school with the kids and worrying about if it will come back or not, but I also don't have the guilt about putting more plastic into the landfill.This is a huge box, so it lasts forever, but when it runs out, I order this kind again. I haven't used any others since I discovered these.And they make forks, too! :)

My family uses a lot of spoons, and when they make oatmeal or hot liquids it made me nervous (and guilty) to wonder exactly what chemicals they were possibly being exposed to. I recently got a box of these things and ran out, and decided to purchase a “prettier” box of silver coated spoons for a replacement. I will never make that mistake again! The spray painted spoons smelled like chemicals right out of the box, and when I tried to eat cold cereal I could literally taste the chemicals. With consumables I just don’t want to take the risk with cheap plastic silverware. When it comes to unknown chemicals coming in contact with hot liquids I feel great knowing exactly what my spoons are composed of! Thanks so much for a wonderful safe spoon that holds up to everyday use.
