Great tool to have for automotive work
I love this tool! The name alone is awesome and holding it gives you an extra sense of power. I've used it a couple times now for removing pulleys on my car and truck. When you needs to hold a rotating assembly in place, this is the tool to do it.Using this tool can be a little awkward and sometimes require 3+ hands. The long handle provides that extra leverage so the girlfriend can feel strong while helping you work on your car. The long handle also kept her from having to get her hands down in the dirty parts of the car. Maybe you are more fortunate in this regard, but this was an added benefit for me.One improvement I made was to tie a string to the ring at the end of the chain. Feeding the chain around a pulley installed in a tight spot can be tricky but adding the string made it easy to feed through then pull the chain along. The chain will damage surfaces if they are not protected. I've found two systems work well. If you are replacing work belts, or don't mind doing so, cut the old belt so it can wrap around the pulley and both ends meet. I use some duct tape to hold the belt in place while I wrap the chain around. For one project I didn't want to replace the belt and found 1ft square rubber sheets about 1/16" thick at a local hardware store. I cut that up, tapped it together and was able to protect the pulley with that. It worked well and seems more versatile than using the old belts, more of a 1 size fits all setup.I don't use this tool often but when I do, I'm so happy to have it.

Bad arse wrench!
I bought this wrench to disassemble and reassemble hydraulic cylinder heads on hydraulic elevator jacks. This is the perfect tool for the job. It bites and turns like a pipe wrench but is flexible and fits in places a pipe wrench never could like a strap wrench and fits diameters you'd need a 7 foot pipe wrench for.Speaking of diameter this wrench will fit up to a 6.75" diameter object. For my purposes thats not big enough. So I bought the replacement chain for this wrench (cw24c) and pressed the pin in and added to the end of the original chain, doubling the length of it. This made it now able to work on 14"+ diameter objects. I say 14"+ because it 100% fits a 14 and maybe 1/8" cylinder I think it would possibly do up to 14.5" but didn't have an object exactly that size to check. But can safely say 14" it will do with an additional chain on it.Definitely recommend both the wrench and additional chain I'd you need more capacity.

Great Product. Ten times better than similarly priced product and probably just as good as the ones costing 2 or 3 times more
Incredible, Great Product. This is the third "chain wrench" I have bought for this one project. We were used it to manually turn a V8 GM 350 boat engine that had a bit of rust in the piston. The first wrench I used was a strap wrench with seat belt material, slightly cheaper. That one broke during the first session. A couple of Harbor Freight contraptions was all I could get that day, and they ended up working a bit, but the links kept breaking and ended up being held together with tie wraps. Project ran out of time. Next session, I had time to buy this wrench. Worked like a charm, Night and Day compared to the previous two wrenches. Ten time the performance, but not ten times the price. Great wrench. Ended up using it in the water to get the props on stern drive moving after they were seized. Wrench has no signs of wear and tear. Great experience with this tool.

Great chain wrench
I have used this wrench in the past and it’s always worked great. The size is just right when you don’t need a beefy large chain wrench. I add an extra length of chain to add to the adjustability and capacity. The grip is excellent for the size.

It works as intended
It works as I wanted it to. I would not use a sledge hammer on it, but solid for a light to medium use tong. I added the extension chain and that has proven useful for larger diameter pipe.

Great tool!
I thought my husband had every necessary tool made, but when he used this to remove and reinstall new rods in our water heater, I could see how incredibly useful this was!

Quality Tool for a Bargain Price
Worth every penny! For less than $50 this is more than enough for the home auto mechanic. The long handle provides superb leverage and the chain is stout and plenty long enough to go around the 6.77" harmonic balancer (7.3L diesel) plus the padding of an old drive belt for protection. Broke the 212 foot pound crankshaft bolt free like it was nothing. The foot has an aggressive non-slip tread - so protect your work if you don't want it marred. The ability to apply pressure in either direction (ratcheting action) without removing the tool from the work is a big plus. I am very inpressed with the heft and quality of the chain and tool in general. My brother uses one at his hydraulic repair shop right along side the Rigid and Mac Tool brands. This is a quality tool. If you need a top notch chain wrench, but don't want to pay a fortune for one -click buy now.
