ULTIMATE GD+T POCKET GUIDE

Hello,I am a student taking a CNC Machining class get a NIMS Level 1 Certification.Because of this handbook I am now considered the GD&T expert in my class...I recently proved my instructor wrong when we were arguing about the meaning of a Datum Symbol on a blueprint. He thought the engineers made a mistake and added an extra datum symbol to the same side of a part (but on different perspectives). I pointed out that one of datum symbols (B) was in-line with a dimension which meant it refers to a center plane between that side (datum D) and the other side. When he asked me to show him how I know this, I pulled out my new handbook and I went to page 77 and then to page 24 to show him. He said he had been making that mistake for the past 3 years! He was so impressed with the handbook that he is now ordering it for the whole class.I've had fellow students come to me now because they were stuck or confused with interpreting GD&T. We just looked it up in whatever section of the book and quickly clarified it. They cant wait to get the book.It's a very interesting book with a lot of information neatly organized and easy to find. I have not been able to find anything like this. It has about 125 pages with example drawings for every thing.I would definitely recommend this book!!!-Student

This is a clear, conscise pocket guide that provides an excellent quick-reference to GD&T info. It prodives the information with little-to-no author bias, and does an excellent job of interpreting and summarizing the ASME Y14.5-2009 standard. That said, it is not a detailed reproduction of the standard. It does not give detailed explainations or instructions on the specifics of the standard. But it is an excellent desk reference if you are already familiar with the standard and just need quick reminders about how things work.

As a Manufacturing and tooling engineer as well as av20+ year machinist, I use GD&T on a daily basis. This book works as a concise reference guide to adding GD&T drafting symbols to your engineered drawings. This book is a great reference for machinists and engineers alike. Highly recommended.

Good ref. guide if you already have more then just a basic knowledge of GD&T. If you are a beginner I'd get a more detailed guide book. Small enough to fit into a pocket or tool box top. Good product for machinist and quick ref. for inspectors but not detailed enough for advanced complex-difficult drawing Interpretation especially if the engineer got it wrong. Good product for it niche, you just need to understand the niche.

I've worked as a Machinist for more than 40 years. I've even taught True positioning tolerances classes for a large US aerospace company. This pocket guide is on my workbench every day. It is abbreviated from the full book but has everything right at your finger tips.

This is a very good reference book for GD&T. It is not a text book, so I do not think you can learn the subject from it, but once you know the basic concepts of GD&T, this book provides a quick reference for clarification. I keep this book on my desk at work and whenever a question about GD&T arises this is my go to source, and has helped clarify almost every question I have had about GD&T.

I just got this and what a handy little reference guide! I also like the glossy cover and and back as it should keep better that way. I'll come back to update this review if I run into any problems but, so far, so good.

This is literally a pocket guide, I did not realize it would be so small. However, it has a great index on the front cover that quickly guides you to the correct pages for the information you need. This sits on my desk next to my computer and I find myself picking it up at least once or twice while drafting shop drawings. If you're on the fence about it because of the price, it's well worth the money for the convenience of how fast it is to use!

Its a very basic summery of standard of GD&T, SO a good reference if you already know a lot about it.

Good clear, short and sweet for referance

Wie auch von anderen erwähnt, sind hier einfach nur die Seiten eingescannt. Keine Suche möglich. Auch das Drehen der Seiten ist nicht möglich. Leider ist das Buch in Deutschland nicht zu bekommen.
