Swing Arm Desk Lamp,Clamp-on Table Light with On/Off Switch,2 in 1 Metal Classic Architect Style for Study Room,Office,Studio,Dormitory(Black)(Small)

It's longer/taller than it looks. The round base is heavy, heavy enough to balance out the weight of the arm and a bulb. I like the clamp, it fits on everything from my kitchen table to my work bench. I put an 60w equivalent LED bulb in it, with this bulb it is plenty bright and the bulb stays slightly warm to the touch. You can adjust the lamp area up and down to get a better light angle. I have only two complaints but they are not enough to take a star. 1. The power cord is exceptionally short. Maybe 3 feet. Plan on using an extension cord with it. 2. The clamp is all plastic and could use some kind of rubbery surface on the area it touches the surface you are clamping against. As it is, it is just hard plastic so you have to tighten it down more than you should have to.

The lamp shade is so small that a normal sized light bulb extends below the shade (i.e. not shaded). I used a small LED bulb that works O.K.Another problem is that the base (not the clamp) is not heavy enough to support the lamp when the arm is extended.I wanted the lamp for a table on "my side of the couch" to get reading light that would not disturb my partner. This lamp does not work for my purpose. When I extend the lamp over my book, the lamp tips over. What is the point of an extension arm lamp that can't extend?

The quality of this lamp is not the greatest in the world. One of the springs pops off almost every time I go to extend it. I do like the clamp for the most part. You are given two or three options to be able to clamp the lamp. Unfortunately the one direction the would work for me isn't an option. I would look for a higher quality lamp.

I'm using this lamp on my desk via the clamp, works great and I'm able to extend it out. Switch is easy to access and built into the cord. The only drawback is that the shade is rather small. The bulb isn't fully covered, not the end of the world but for some people it may be. I can see this being used for kids or college students.

I have been needing a desk lamp for my late studies in college, when I don’t want to disturb my roommates. I have ordered this one and it came in a box with all pieces in plastic and instructions. It is a wired lamp and does not come with a lightbulb. The lightbulb I chose, however, illuminated well and was exactly what I was expecting. The range of motion of the lamp is extensive and useful. Unlike some lamps, it does not move on its own, it needs to be moved. This product also comes with an option of clamping the lamp to a side of a surface, and is easy to swap between this option and the normal stand.

Let me say I got the first one of these, and found it to be extremely cheap. the stand holder is PLASTIC, so is the other table piece. both are cheap. the round base cracked as soon as i adjusted the light. it wont hold the light at any angle. so if u lean it over. it will wall over. now the second one i ordered. came broken, and the light bulb slot is loose. HORRIBLY MADE. not worth the $$$. Both devices are cracked in the same one. one came broken and the other broke when i tried to adjust it. i have owned couple lights like this before. never had an issue. in fact i got one from an old factory for 5 buck. the base needs to be metal for this to work and that goes for both bases. the clamp base and round base. DONT BUY.

Bought this to have something next to my bed on a small desk. Keep note that there is no lightbulb with this lamp but gives enough juice when you do add the lightbulb. Decided to go with a 6000k instead of the warmer yellow ones and it works perfectly. Haven't had a chance to use the clamp but is sturdy enough. Might get another for the garage.

Needed a little light to add on to my desk for late night studying and reading and this light does the trick. Instead of having the entire room light on, I can just switch this on and Wah-Lah! Came black to match my dark colored office desk. Very happy with the purchase thus far, its been a few days with no issues.
