Nice colours that are brought to life by shaking and pressing down on the nib the first time until the ink flows. It’s handy having a dual side nib which is bullet shaped on one side and chisel tip on the other. It’s a little bit messy changing them over once you’ve used it, but still nice to have the option. Ink flows smoothly and works well on chalk boards.

These are really good chalk markers and will save you a lot of time and mess. They're great for any number of users and will be great for anyone of an artistic bent or someone who just needs to write out a menu or signage.If you've ever used paint marker pens then you'll be fine to pick these up and use them straight away. If not it would be advisable to practice on a piece of paper first. You need to shake them initially to get the pigment and the liquid medium fully mixed, then you press the nib onto a the surface and gently press on until the tip has pumped in and out a few times to get the paint into the delivery mechanism. Do this on a piece of scrap to avoid getting unexpected blobs on your work.I got much better results on the included paper labels rather than actual slate, but that's more an issue with the medium rather than the pens. They're still felt tip pens after all so the rougher the surface the less of a smooth line you're going to achieve.If you're using them for work on commercial blackboards, which aren't slate, you'll have no issues, and you'll be pleased with the results. The paint is a little on the runny side for me but it's nothing that a second coat won't remedy. For menus and signs I'd recommend going slowly to lay down more paint in one go rather than doing it twice. For art purposes I'd suggest regarding them as paint pens and using them in the way that best suits your needs.

I have used these on the tables at school and the kids think it's great. IT washes off with a little water and a cloth (or blue roll!) Shake before use.

These are really great chalk pens they write really well and they wipe off easily with a damp cloth. At £8.97 they are good value as you get different size and types of tip.

The media could not be loaded. Got these to label stuff up in the kitchen.This chalk pen set comes with 3 pens of different tip widths and 50 stickers to use for labelling. The pens are easy to use. You shake them to wake them, press the nib to start the ink on first use and then write your label.These write smoothly and, as they’re chalk based, when you want to change the label you can simply wipe it off and start again. The white colour is bright and easy to see and 50 stickers is plenty to last for ages.Overall, I’m really happy with these chalk pens. They’re perfect for labelling, which is what I want them for, and it’s easy enough to wipe off when you’re done and start again.
