Details for miner road and major roads first class

We shall be in Netherlands but touring south and a few miles into Germany, this was the best bit of the map. When we actually came to plan a journey the disadvantage as has been mentioned elsewhere it the almost illogical layout where the maps are country grouped rather than on a west-east line. This may well have created the second problem with minimal page overlap. The pages have been arranged by a printer and not a cartographer. Our route from Hook to Venlo was almost all in the overlap zone. A better layout would have had major town near the centre of a page rather than split across 4 pages.

This atlas is very strange compared to other atlases. The pages that would normally have an arrow on which page up or down where to go next don't join up the countries ie, going from Netherlands to Belgium there isn't a page number arrow from one country to the next so you have to hunt through the maps to find the page where the borders are and work out where they join.Each country does have page arrows up, down and across until you get to the border then they stop, weird and slightly annoyingOtherwise a good detailed map
