Far superior to those pluck-foam cases
I wish I had known about this case years ago. I've been traveling with those cases where you pluck out the foam, but I like to travel with different pistols and the holes I've plucked don't line up with various pistols. This holds them VERY securely. I can easily carry 5 pistols with magazines and spare boxes of ammo. The padding is stiffer than the pluck foam, and it holds the pistols tightly. Like all Pelican cases, this is very strong and secure with thick walls. No one is going to pry it open. The clasps are also secure. It costs more than the cheap cases, but it's worth the money. Pelican's brand name speaks for itself.

Built like a tank
I bought this gun case for my husband, and he has been extremely impressed with it. This thing is built like a tank. It's heavy-duty, well-padded in all the right places, and does a great job keeping everything protected. There is plenty of room for firearms and accessories, and the removable foam inserts make it easy to customize the layout to fit your specific needs. He was able to configure it exactly how he wanted without any trouble. The latches, handles, and overall construction feel solid and durable. It keeps everything that belongs inside secure and protected from everything that belongs outside. If you're looking for a sturdy, customizable case that offers excellent protection, this one is well worth considering.

Solid purchase.
fantastic gun case, but be prepared to make modifications to the foam if you are putting revolvers in this thing. Keeps everything safe and secure. Even get complements on it at the range.

Great Case, just too shallow for 2011 21+round Mags
This case is very well built. I have no doubt like other Pelican products that this will keep the water, dust and grime out of the case. The foam is rigid in all the right places and has a very secure snug fit for your "tools". The case will fit various size pistols however the 5.1" length slides will have a hard time fitting. Anything more than a 21rd mag will have difficulty fitting and closing the lid. I ended up having to send it back since this was to be used for a 2011 with longer mags. I didnt want to have the extra pressure on the top of the mags (pressed into the bottom of the case foam) for extended periods of time. The fear here is that they may deform causing failures. for a visual, the bottoms of the mags stick out about an inch from the top of the foam. It will fit in the lid closed BUT the tops of the mags (follower area) will be pressing hard into the foam, this could cause deformation. If i had mags and tools to fit in this size case i would keep it. It's a very nice case! It just needs to be about 1" deeper so the mags do not press into the foam. My P365macro mags fit fine. Like i said, good case. just didnt work for my needs.

Too snug for white lights.
Love the case. Sadly I have two SIG M17 with red dots and white lights. Gonna have to dig into the foam to get it to fit correctly. Still love the case. (Removed Pic) The 1st M17 will definitely not work with the mag, the second one does not have a mag and will still hit the top. Apparently, you cannot show a picture of a gun case with guns on a review.

Good product and value
Very adjustable and adaptable to your needs. Fits my handguns well with generous magazine storage. If using with four handguns, there is a generously sized storage area. Product is sturdy. Since product name is โvault,โ you would expect built-in locking which it does not contain. However, there is provision for locking with separate padlocks (not provided).

Pelican - Great Quality
Pelican, everything I expected. Excellent construction, great to take to the range. Secures pistols and protects them.

Not a good choice for Canadian gun owners.
The case was typical Pelican quality. I was looking forward to using it. However, it wasn't up to the specifications that it claimed. It was a tight fit and doesn't really hold the number of pistols it claims. Also, for Canadians, who are required to use trigger locks, guns won't fit when the standard type lock is on the gun. Ruger Mk IV, even without the trigger lock wouldn't fit properly. It wouldn't accommodate the target grips. So I returned it.
