I converted my old macmini 2014 and 2011 and my macbook pro 2012 to linux mint, as you cant run new macos on it. well, you can, but its spotty and you youtube playing sucks. So i was going to get rid of them. Decided to try Linux mint. Nice. Runs great on 2560x1440 etc. I could not get the wireless to work though. and i wanted to take my macbook to work and connect via my hotspot. so these say Windows only in the listing.. but i order them because someone said they work. When they arrived the documentation included said it alwo works on linux. Boom, plugged it in and connected right up. now i see all the local wifi network and have no problem connecting. Previously the drivers for the internal wife would allow me to set up wifi, but it would never connect and would show me a bunch of options but I could never even try to connect. This showed my wifi and all i had to do was enter the password and it handled everything. * * * * * cheap. plus i get two. I will probably get two more because i also have two imac i got from a college selling old equipment. Nothing like getting totally working pc for just 100 bux.

Easy Plug and Play. There was nothing to install and as soon as I plugged it in, it recognized all the available networks. I’d buy it again if ever in need

It's an excellent emergency solution or a great tool for budget builds. ​The Not-So-Good (A Cautionary Note): This is partly my fault for not reading the full description carefully, but it’s crucial for potential buyers to know: this is a 2.4GHz single-band adapter only. If you live in an area with a lot of 2.4GHz interference or need the speed and stability of 5GHz, this isn't the right choice. Also, while it says '150Mbps', I found that number to be very theoretical. My actual speeds were noticeably lower and felt limited. Do not buy this expecting blazing-fast 150Mbps performance; buy it because you need reliable basic internet access for a low cost. ​Verdict: If your needs are simple and your budget is tight, this 2-pack is fantastic. It saved me in a pinch. Just manage your expectations about the speed and understand that it only supports the 2.4GHz band. 4 stars for value and ease of use, deducting one star for the somewhat misleading speed claim.

***WARNING*** DO NOT BUY! These did not work at all. One got a speedtest result of .5mbps and the other would not even allow the website to load. The one that completed the speedtest was so hot when I unplugged it, I was worried it would catch something on fire.

Handy for when you need it. Not super fast but good for making connections happen.

Needed to program some older homecontrol items that don't like the newer Wifi. Did the job nicely.

Easy installation with good signal strength. No software installation needed. Good value for money and good quality.
