It is a great way to turn old hard disks into external storage. What I really liked about this product is that is came with IDE as well as SATA built into 1 case. So if ur old IDE HD dies well u can pop in a SATA drive.

It is a bit difficult to set up for an IDE drive but once done it worked perfectly.I bought it to see if I could get data off anold lacie external hard drive that had stopped working and was delighted that it did.

Prompt delivery. Instructions minimal, but adequate. Mounting a drive in the caddy was straightfoward. Software loaded first go in Windows 2000, but took several tries with Windows Vista. However, both OSs finally recognized the drive and accessed it properly. Supplied with power supply and USB cable, it represents good value.

I found the product to be well made. I set it up without any problems and I have recommended it to my brother who has purchased two units.I will gladly recommend it to friends as well. I will purchase another unit, when I locate another HDD for it.

Great product.
Simple to set up and use.Allowed me to 'preserve' a hard drive from a 'dead' Windows 7 internal hard drive for future use.Would recommend it to anyone who wants to do this
