Just what you need!
When I purchased my used Craftsman Snowblower, I knew it was missing the chute clearing tool and I paid the price. I would use screw drivers, yard sticks and rake handles for the job. I knew I needed the correct tool. This tool is designed for the job and the best part is that it comes with the holding clamp which allows you to mount the tool on the blower where you need it. I would recommend this tool to anyone who is in need of a chut learing tool.

Solid plastic but not so easy to mount if not a replacement
This replaces my wooden broom handle. It has a couple of advantages:1) It attaches to the snow blower to be there when needed2) It has a small shovel end that can slice through and loosen stuck snow more easilyDisadvantages:If not an exact replacement or you don't have a model with the correct sized holes:*You need a drill and a place on the snowblower to drill 2 holes of some size to mount.*No instructions or template to do this (Size hole?).*Not much thought given to the mount on a snowblower without existing holes for this clamp. A clamp for a pipe might make it easy to mount on the handle.I did find a plastic cross piece between the left and right handles that could be used to mount the mini-shovel. It should have an easier universal mount than to drill holes in your machine. I also had to increase the drill size gradually until the tabs popped through the holes snugly (with a rubber mallet).4-stars - not impressed by mount design. If you have this design already it would be an easy swap. Also seems like it should be half this cost but my estimates on pricing these days is clumsy at best.

Say Goodbye to Snow-Clogged Chutes
After struggling with packed snow clogging my snow thrower chute and relying on makeshift solutions like a broom handle, I finally decided to invest in the Snow Thrower Chute Clearing Tool. And let me tell you, it's been a game-changer – when I remember to use it.This tool is incredibly handy for clearing out snow from the chute of my snow thrower. The design is simple yet effective, allowing me to quickly and easily remove any obstructions without damaging the equipment. That being said, I do have to admit that I sometimes forget I have it. It's not something I use every time I clear snow, so it's easy to overlook. However, when I do remember to use it, it saves me a ton of time and frustration.Overall, while the Snow Thrower Chute Clearing Tool may not be the most glamorous accessory for your snow thrower, it's certainly a practical one. If you're tired of struggling with packed snow clogging your chute, I highly recommend giving this tool a try. Just remember to keep it handy when you need it most!

Identical to OEM
HQAPR Snow Thrower Chute Clearing Tool for MTD OEM-731-2643,Cub Cadet 931-2643, Craftsman Clean Out ToolI have a craftsmann walk behind snowblower that his exact bracket and clean out tool attached to the housing. I also have a craftsman (really agrifab) 42" snowthrower which I use on the front of my Craftsman GT6000 garden tractor (really Husqvarna). Whenever I am on the tractor I grab the clear out tool and take it with me, now I don't have to. I plan to drill two holes on the top of 42" snowthrower housing and always have a clear out tool at hand.Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I hope you found it helpful!REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.
