Great!
I love all marvel films but my heart lies with Chris Hemsworth. He does tend to get the poorest scripts though. Thor Ragnarock is the best Thor film but if you are like me, I need to have all of them on my shelf.

Thor returns
So this completed the best movies I saw in 2013. Thor: The Dark World was an extremely satisfying follow up to the original Thor movie and the Avengers.Thor returns back to Asgard after the events of the alien invasion of New York with the Avengers against Loki. Thor is later reacquainted with the woman he loves, Jane Foster after she is infected with a power source that Malekith, leader of the Dark Elves wants possession of. Malekith has reawoken from his slumber in accordance with the time period that he can unleash the power source in order to turn the universe back to it's original state of eternal darkness. In a attempt to defeat Malekith and the Dark Elves Thor has to trust and form an allegiance with his untrustworthy adoptive brother Loki. I loved the first Thor film, the escapism into a beautiful captivating new world of Asgard, which in a new turn most of the story takes place in. It was a great film full of great action and emotional moments. The first movie in four years that my girlfriend burst into tears at. I loved it and it is one of my favorite movies of 2013.Check out my Blog http://supercomicsmovieblog.blogspot.ie/

Thor and the elves of evil
Another superhero movie from Marvel studios. Sequel to Thor. Set after Avengers Assemble. All of which may slightly confuse anyone who watches it and who hasn't seen those films. But chances are you will have seen those if you watch this. So that won't be a problem. The dvd:Has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English. Hindi. Tamil. Telegu. It's also English audio described.Subtitles: English. It begins with a trailer for forthcoming Marvel movie 'Captain America; The Winter Soldier.' But that can be skipped via the next button on the dvd remote. Said trailer is accessible from the sneak peeks section of the dvd main menu anyhow. The only extras are a preview of said Captain America film. Which runs for three minutes and is one of those featurettes that has clips from the film along with actors and crew members talking about it. This preview does give one spoiler away - the identity of the Winter Soldier - so if you're not familiar with the character via comics then you may not want to watch this just yet.The movie:Loki's locked up. Thor's bringing peace to all the realms. Jane is stuck on Earth pining for him and trying to move on. She finds strange things happening in London. Which all tie in with the return of an ancient evil that seeks to destroy the universe. To deal with it all, Thor and Loki must team up. Trust issues ensue. Can they work together and save the day? This, like most blockbuster movies, tries to entertain via mixing action and drama with character moments and humour. In this respect, it's pretty successful. Anthony Hopkins and Rene Russo don't get too much to do but have their moments. The brothers don't have much screen time together till halfway through the film, but there's enough to keep the viewer occupied till then so it's not really a problem.A lot of the humour does make Thor the straightman in the midst of things going on around him. Chris Hemsworth is pretty good in these moments. He does have a good chemistry with Natalie Portman although her role can be a bit thankless at times. Kat Dennings gets more to do as Darcy this time and once again steals the show. Chris O'Dowd is also good at being humorous without going too far. But doesn't get nearly as much to do.Christopher Eccleston makes a fine villain in a part that doesn't really stretch him. There's an action finale set piece which benefits from being in a familiar setting and is very well done.Just don't trust this movie to give you accurate directions for travelling on the London underground though.Thor will return. A very good final scene does make you want to know what will happen when he does.An efficient and entertaining blockbuster movie from a studio that are good at making them.Keep watching during the end credits for two extra scenes. One in the middle, which ties into an upcoming Marvel movie. And one at the very end. Which doesn't set anything up. But is still worth a look.

Different and Great
This is an unusual movie and the storyline is great, imagination and ideas that come about are marvellous so the interest is there and so is the cast that are fabulous. Thor is on a mission to stop two worlds colliding with one another, planet Earth and another planet don't guess you will be wrong. Now I rated this an A grade plus for the performances and ideas that keeps the entertainment flying thick and fast keeping us seated during the entire show. A little bit more of a hint and that he is forced to make an alliance with his treacherous brother Loki, Now I have told you very little but suspense is great for the unknown and leaving you in mid air. Now it's time for the trip to the local video shop and corner store for the popcorn, that you'll need for your night of great entertainment that will have you in a spell so get ready with feet up and relaxing, if you have trouble getting it to start don't forget to push play on the remote. Enjoy!

Good CGI and action let down by weak plot and forced humour.
I watched this today followed by the Captain America sequel and where Caps movie shone this one is a bit average and probably one of the weaker films Marvel have released to date. The film feels like a filler movie just so they could reposition the characters for later films rather than a genuine attempt at progressing Thor's story. The plot is weak (especially if you compare it to Captain America 2) and there are parts that don't fit well. They've tried to place some humour along the story line which just doesn't work and often feels like you're watching some mild Sunday afternoon rom-com with chirpy elevator music rather than a Marvel movie. The CGI and action scenes are done well and Chris Hemsworth gives a good performance as Thor. Natalie Portman is forgettable and dull as are her colleagues (even when they are trying to be funny). Poor Stellan Skarsgård, who plays Eric Stelvig, is often reduced to the films buffoon character which just doesn't work.I can't say its a terrible film but its not a good one. I think 3 stars is enough given the good CGI and action moments but I can't give it more as the forced humour and generally dull plot pulls it down. If you had to choose between this and Captain America 2 then buy Caps movie...its far better and more entertaining.
