These are really nice and comfy as a base layer. I like to wear something like this when out for the day and these are absoloutly where they come into their own. I recently did a winter round of golf and didn't even think about the cold, where the chap I was with who was wearing similar clothing minus a base layer like this, was complaining half way round that he needed to get into the clubhouse to warm up. I was fine, warm if anything.It's when you have this happen that you realise the importance and effectiveness of an item like this.They washed up fine and have a good quality finish to them. A point of note is that they have the label printed into the neck rather than have a label that can irritate. I ordered these for my son, and unfortunately he has lost out on one of them, as they also fit me perfectly! I tried one, out of interest and in order to review accurately, and it has disappeared into my wardrobe! These tops are very light and thin, soft against the skin and incredibly comfortable. I am currently wearing one beneath a sweater - perfect for walking the dog in cold weather. My son cycles, and he also reports that they keep him very warm when out and about. He is a size 42, and the medium size top fits very well. I am quite small (size 12 UK), but find the fit perfect for me too under a winter sweater. We are both very happy with both size and performance - a good buy.
