100#8 Glassine Envelopes measuring 6 5/8" x 4 1/2"

These envelopes serve many storage purposes, but I find them invaluable for collecting and organizing materials for collage projects and artist swaps. An annual ICAD ( index card a day) project often produces multiple card possibilities, and these let me temporarily sort ingredients for possible future cards. Gathering themed items (postage stamps, cigarette cards etc) is also easy, with contents readily visible. Best of all, for sending any small art work or photos thru the mail, these are soft but sturdy protective layers.

I bought these to create embellished inserts for journals. I used a coffee-dying process on some, and they colored and crisped up again beautifully. They provided a wonderful background for vintage images, and I used the insides as places to stash paper treats (photos, trims, and so forth) for the journals.

I use these envelopes for storing both die-cut pieces and the dies that cut the pieces (for card making). I wanted a flap but no glue, the ability to see what’s in the envelope, and the smaller size for easier storage. You can easily write on them with a Sharpie for labeling. These suit me to a T.

Love a nice glassine envelope! No sticking together, these envelopes were perfect to hold felt pieces to go with flannel board.

Perfect for storing my old family photos which I’m archiving.

But still thin enough to see what is inside the envelope.I will have to get more in the near future.

I use them to store my grandmothers 60 year old negatives.
