It Is Just Over A Year - Connection Is Intermittent
As a product, when I initially bought this, this was a great purchase, however with only 30 days to return an electrical device, it is clearly obvious what this item is made for.... purchase and failure soon after for you to buy another one (which I have now also done). After two or three months with possibly less-use than most people (I used the item once a week most weeks) - the item had a piece of the "cheaper" plastic from within the SD Card reader fall out. Soon after that the SD Card reader stopped reading and shortly after that the device stopped being read by my computer entirely. When all this happened, I contacted amazon/the seller however they were very adamant on the 30 days only for this device to be able to fail within - which was very disappointing. From there, as I had already bought multiple dongle replacements, I forgot about this item until I realised that my newest one was supposed to be delivered today - thus thought to review the one I bought just over a year ago, which I never would have bought if I thought in 18 months, I'd be buying another dongle. Advice - choose a brand name who care if they have a faulty device with a customer. P.s. As you can see in the image, the item still 'looks' good.

MacBooks should come with these as standard
Why don’t Macs have these as standard? Essential if you want to connect anything to your Mac. Nicely made - yes plastic, but v high quality. Works as expected, and matches the finish of the space grey MacBooks.

Stopped working after a few weeks
Was working fine, and I was totally happy with it, but after a few weeks it suddenly stopped working. 2 days after the returns window closed! I have complained to the seller of the item, and hopefully this can be resolved.

Light strong and more than capable
I bought this to complement the huawei matebook pro i also ordered. I wasnt aware that the matebook came with one. Having said that this is more rugged uses the daisy chain so you don’t lose a port in the process and looks as if made for the matebook. It comes with hdmi And Vga so accommodates old and new monitors and my usb c sdd was nippy through it
