I love the accompanying audio discs. The pronunciation is so clear and they pause enough for you to repeat or get your bearings. I thought there were only going to be two, one for each textbook. There’s actually four, one for each book! I am a little disappointed that, as far as I’ve seen (I only got them today), there’s no writing help or anything to teach you the stroke order. I guess it’s just trial and error. Also, the furigana (the little hiragana showing how the kanji is said) is a great addition. All in all, a great resource for learning Japanese and I can’t wait to use it more!

Exactly what I needed! No sticky notes but I needed the textbooks more than sticky notes. These textbooks are what we are using at a university I’ll be studying abroad at in Japan. I’ve taken 10 credits already of Japanese in the states, but I need to keep my language fresh in my mind during the summer. Highly recommend. These are from Japan, (notice the book marks with the original yen price) and are recommended by native speakers to study from.

I am a college student who is taking Japanese. I took 4 years of it in high school but we didn't use these books. So when I went into my freshman year of college I joined the 103 level class and they were already halfway through Genki 1. Buying the books in this bundled format allowed the price to be cheaper!

I've found the books to be very useful for learning and revising Japanese. The mix of English, Romaji and the 3 different alphabets. It's seems to be progressive in the amount (or lack there of) of Romaji and English so that you're not relying to heavily on them, which I think is helpful for learning the language. The CDs are pretty helpful tools for listening to and practising pronunciation, though how you use them to study can be left up to you a bit. I didn't receive the sticky notes in my package.

The books routinely ask you to work with a partner and have exercises that do not include an answer key. I understand one is sold seperately but come on, for $150 for paper back it should include an answer key. Don't bother with the QR code apps either. Firstly, it will direct you to the wrong edition app. Secondly the app is terrible. Just download anki for free. In fact, DON'T BUY THESE BOOKS. Toki Andi goes through all of this content on youtube for free better than the books cover it. If money is no object go ahead an drop the cash but in my opinion there are better ways mainly, toki andy + anki vocabulary then anki core 2000 and N5 and N4 vocabulary. If you don't know the Kana yet stop now and learn Kana from Japanese pod 101 for free on youtube or duolingo.

The books are very helpful! (And have that new book smell I absolutely love 🥰) Although there were no sticky notes, the quality of the books makes up for that. They’re very user friendly and come wrapped in plastic so no matter the weather they go through, they’ll get to you nice and clean!

They arrived today and came in perfect condition. (ordered other books with them, and they were all intact.) I don't know why for some people they didn't had the booklet included but mine came with it and it's absolutely cute. I flipped through the pages of the books and Genki is really useful, specially a great start if you want to self study Japanese. But would recommend getting the answer key book as well.

Perfect Series For Beginner looking forward to learn Japanese well, and for serious learners who aren't afraid of taking a few challenges. I highly recommend Genki or Minna No Nihongo Elementary Book series for those people who are at Elementary Level or Upper Beginners. And, Japanese from Zero to those people who are absolute Beginners. There is a reason why Genki is among the best sellers here, and i love it a lot, thanks God that i finally got it because It isn't easy for people in our country to get this book series from the local stores.

These books are great for elementary students of the Japanese language, price is great as it saves you money than buying each one of the books individually. Books came quickly in different packages. I did contact the seller because of some questions and the response was prompt, very happy with the product. The books did not come with the sticky notes as it says on the description but it came with a notebook instead, not an issue to be honest.

Having a lot of fun with these. The included audio recordings are very helpful. Perhaps not my best choice for self studying - there are a lot of group work exercises.

Comprehensive books recommended over and over by any beginner Japanese website you choose to visit. The books map to JLPT 5 and JLPT 4 so will take you quite a way through your early learning stages. It comes with both books and workbooks and is a significant discount against buying all the books individually. The CDs give you good listening practices too. Very happy and would recommend.
