Sylvanian Families Town - Creamy Gelato Shop 6008

This is for Christmas so can’t comment on the set up but if all the other sylvanian family items are anything to go by it will be amazing.Lots of little bit included as normal and just so plesant and lovely.

The usual quality to expect with Sylvanian families, small hands needed for all the bits! The product itself is a good price but it doesn't actually come with very much, no characters just the frame of the shop, a table and a small ice cream counter. I got it because my daughter asked for it from Santa but usually the sets have more bits in, compared to the boutique or the bakery this was disappointing for the amount you get in it. Having said that my 7 year old loves it.

Great item for a syvanian collector

I adore this set which I bought as gift for my friends little girl. It is super cute. I have obviously not attempted to put it together and it does seem to have lots of small accessories so clearly needs to be for an age appropriate child but I do want to sit down with the kids and play too.

In short, as the pictures show, this is a gorgeous addition to your collection, it fits with the Town series either alongside or topping other buildings such as the department store and has plenty of play value from the curved gelato display stand and servable scoops, my daughters are absolutely blown away by this set and it's a new favourite but as a grown up I feel that there just seems to be something missing in comparison to other ice cream sets, and even the product storybook but certainly not enough to recommend passing on this, it's a gorgeous set. I do however hope there's a top up set to follow or I will be hunting down other ice cream accessories myself!My girls and I were lucky enough to receive the tram, restaurant and department store of the brand new Town Series from Sylvanian Families along with some figures so I treated them to the gelato shop as the pictures in the catalogue had excited them.This comes pretty much assembled, you only have to click in the ornate non-working lights in, assemble the serving unit, pop the awning in and stickers on and you're pretty much done as the railing and ceiling are optional depending on how you plan to incorporate the building. A confident child could self assemble this which is always a plus. The pastel duck egg blue design is so pretty and has a European flair that I love across this range with the ice cream palette of the buildings.The gelato serving station includes 4 flavours, vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and orange and each swirling mountain of ice cream has a removable scoop which looks a bit like a tall Mr Whippy and cones are on a Perspex style display rack which I wish fit on the serving station somewhere as that would be pretty cool.The ice cream cones do not fit in the gripping hands of Flair edition Sylvanians (we have a couple passed down to us) but do sit nicely in the curve of modern Epoch Sylvanians arms- as seen in the picture with 2018 fan club exclusive Tiffany. I would say if you or your child struggle with fine motor this may be a bit of a difficulty as there is no 'grip' between the cone and ice cream so the gelato fell off quite a few times when posing! I brought in my own Georgina Maple for posing so please be aware no figures come with this set,My feeling with this is that this, like the designer lounge set, are more for the building shell and future potential than the accessories as it seems just a tad light on what's included, a lot of work has gone into the textural detail of the building and the engineering to fit together with other town pieces and in comparison to say the seaside ice cream restaurant which sells for roughly £7 more it seems light on the ice cream accessories with only two cones, no bowls etc and not even a seating area unless you drag chairs from another part of your collection.I'm hoping with a future wave of releases they are planning some small pack top-ups such as the brandy/waffle basket with decorated scoop that is depicted in the included storybook (see picture) to give added play value as at the moment only two customers can have an ice cream at a time. However this is such a delightful set that is fully compatible with several other parts of the town series even popping the serving station in the wide opening of the tram to make a extra fab street food truck, I can't say it's not worth it as its lovely.

Made beautifully, with lovely detail. Purchased to go with the Tram. Our granddaughter was thrilled especially with the little ice cream cones!!

Good sturdy toys

Couldn’t find this in any toy shops, delighted amazon had it and at good price. My 4 year old loves it and so does my 11 year old.
