25mm Hook and Loop Cinch Strap, Pack of Five (25cm, Black)

I've bought a pack of five of these, to make sure my bicycle lock stays on top of the carrier. The lock is lying on a horizontal surface, so the strap is not expected to carry the weight, just make sure the lock doesn't slide off.Within less than two months of usage I've had the same fault on two straps: After a few weeks' use the `scratchy' end of the strap separates from the rest, rendering the item useless. It looks is if these were glued on, so possibly the item wasn't meant for outdoors use. My bike spends most of its time indoors, so it's not as if the straps had been exposed to the elements through all this time. In that period the two straps had fewer than 40 removals and reapplications between them.It seems this item isn't really suitable for my intended use and I hope this review helps others make a better decision.
