When I bought this tether I wasn't expecting that it would work that well. It does work as they say. I use it in my pool and I can swim for minutes. It is important, as they mention it on the instructions, that you hang it or tight it to something that it's higher than the deck of the pool. In that way you will never touch or get entanlged with the tether

Bought this to swim in place in my backyard pool. Took a few tries to find a setup that worked for me. As it is, from the box, the tubing is too long and too 'weak' - too much stretch. I tried doubling it up around a tree, but that was too stiff. I ended up tying a 'figure-8' knot in it, at a length that worked with my swim strength and the length of my pool. The waist belt is very comfortable, and easy to adjust - much more comfortable than an ankle strap version I tried previously. I am concerned about how long it will last - the tubing started to fade after the first month's use in a chlorine pool - and I don't leave it in the sun or water all day.

Due to current social distancing, my family and I can no longer use the 50m pools at swim clubs/schools/colleges, but this tether turned my backyard pool into a lap pool!Simple to use: wrap the strap around any stationary object around the pool; the higher up the better to lessen leg interference with elastic/bungee cord.Then secure the adjustable, quick-release waist belt (the max setting is around 40") with padded/Velcro strap and get ready to swim!The 3m elastic/bungee cord provides good stationary resistance training (catch, pull, kick) without having to turn around at each end of the pool.Able to swim all styles: Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Freestyle.Overall: a good, cost-effective, supplemental swim training gear for backyard sized pools. Perfect item. It just made my pool experience much better. I use it to try to make it to the other end of the pool, then let the hose pull me back. Kind of like sprints. I used the hand rail for the attachment. Waist is comfortable and uses Velcro to adjust to your size. I’m a 36, and it was fine, with bigger and smaller sizes available still. Well made product, recommendation is to buy...Update: I bought the blue tubing. Unfortunately it apparently has a chemical reaction to a slat-water pool. The part that gets wet has turned dark green. I'd recommend a different color if you have a salt-water pool...

Love the concept of this product everything fits great, and the cord didn’t get in the way regardless of the swim stroke I do. I’m giving it a 3 because I only got to use it maybe 6 times before it snapped where the bungee meets the hard plastic, near the belt. I tied it into several knots, but haven’t tried to see if that would even hold.

These are very Interesting. They work well but you have to find the sweet spot or you will tire out quickly. My wife is a swimmer and she likes them.

Belt is small for a size 18 woman. Lots of stretch in the cord but just tripped it and could swim in the hotel pool.

Great when I used it, stared cracking and breaking at 3 months, I just kept tying the ends together until it was to short to use! Almost made it one summer.Very stretchy
