Great Bike!
My first Ebike. I wanted something a bit more lightweight than most of the budget bikes. This one is solid and is quite remarkable for the price. It has plenty of power, brakes could be better but not bad. The acceleration and peddle assist are awesome. I've only ridden it about 30 miles and it holds a charge well. The system is comfortable and easy to use. Highly recommended, I would say I'm very happy and will not need to upgrade anytime soon. Heybike seems strong, fast, reliable, and a great value, thanks.

Affordable Bike that can handle some rough terrain.
I bought the Heybike Race Max as a Christmas present for myself. I have a normal mountain bike but I want to start long distance trail riding so I figured I'd look into an E-Bike. After researching and watching a few reviews I decided to give this one a try. I am so glad I did. For reference, I'm 5'9 and 250 pounds and this bike has no trouble pulling me around. I also have not had any problem stopping with the factory brakes. The height of the bike fits me perfectly. I love the way this bike looks. The black and yellow work great together. I color matched my accessories and it looks great. The only modification I did was I put a fork extender to raise the handlebars and installed some fenders. I have now put around 70 miles on it and it's mostly been off-road. My trail of choice is the Air Line State Park Trail. I've ridden on asphalt, packed soil, mud, through puddles, railroad ballast and sand. I've ridden up rocky areas which unfortunately caused me to snap my chain. Luckily because this has a hub motor I was able to use the throttle and get to the road and ride back 8 miles up and down hills. Once reaching 34 MPH. The chain was an easy fix and I was off for another couple of hours of riding. A few weeks ago I went for another long ride. This time I was around mile 15 and I got a flat. The valve stem broke. I know someone stated that it cost a lot to change the rear tire but I found it easy to replace the tube. I did not need to remove the hub. I loosened the tire nuts, removed the 2 brake caliper bolts and slid the caliper off. I was able to slide the tube right out and put the new one in within minutes. I'm thinking I'd be able to do the same with the tire. Overall, I don't think I could have found a better bike for the money.

Good value for the money....
We purchased 2 of these E-Bikes... our first experience with e-bikes. Easy to assembly. Everything was packaged very well. I must admit they are built quite well for the price! The peddle assist works very well!! The battery plate that is mounted on the main downtube is not mounted straight on either of these bikes! I took the battery mounting plate off mine and actually filed the threaded inserts on the left side to try and get it to lay flat. It does sit better now but could take a little more off to get it completely lined up to sit vertically... they lean to the right. It's not a big deal... just bugs me when I look at it from the riding position. We were very uncomfortable with the low handlebars and have since purchased a stem extender and new handlebar mount to bring the handlebars up and back towards the rider, so you aren't leaning over so far. So far, the battery is holding up pretty good... but we only have a little over 130 miles on them. The seat?! pretty much non-existent. but I suppose once you get your butt in shape for sitting on a thin hard surface... you'll be ok (still working on that). Got the wifey a new seat. wise move.... We had a little trouble with error codes. I placed the bikes in the back of my truck and after taking them out and turning mine on I immediately got a 24 ERROR code. Be aware of the connector under the right rear arm that connects the motor to the electronics and battery. It was loose and not making connection. Called tech support and they were very helpful. After disconnecting ALL the connectors and re-connecting them... It finally worked. Then my wife received a 25 ERROR code minutes later! So... also be aware that you cannot hold either brake lever and turn the display power on to the bike..! We have noticed that every once in a while, the bike seems to jump forward! just a bit but it's very strange. So now my wife, after a couple whacks in the shin with the peddle, now powers it up AFTER she gets on. Not sure if we are hitting something to cause this or not! Would be interested if anyone else is experiencing the same phenomenon! These bikes seem to handle pretty well and appear they will hold up for quite a while!! Will add more after we get some real miles on them. For an entry level E-Bike... These are great!

Fast and cheap
I have ridden over 100 km with this bike, and here is an honest review. To begin with, the main strength is that you get a lot for your money. Even a few weeks later, I still look at the competitors, and they are nowhere near the same price for comparable specifications.I expected lower-end components, but overall, it is very good. Here are a few other strengths:1. Fast: the bike reaches 40 km/h without too much trouble2. Simple and efficient design3. Good range, over 40 km with assistance level 5 at all times4. Comfortable5. Excellent technical support: I had a flat tire in the first few days due to a poorly installed tube, and three days later, I had a new tube at my door. The biggest downside, in my opinion, is the brakes: they are just at the acceptable limit, and at 40 km/h, they lack a lot of power. I was never able to adjust the brakes properly because the disc has a run-out, so there is always some rubbing at a certain point. Also, when braking abruptly, the front wheel twists, as if the wheel axle is not rigid enough. Here are a few other weaknesses:1. The front suspension is very basic, and the adjustment doesn't seem to do much.2. Strange noises and vibrations at certain speeds.3. The battery gauge is not very accurate.4. The front sprocket could use a few more teeth to fully benefit from assistance level 5.5. Despite the overall comfort of the seat and the ergonomics, the bike is very stiff and doesn't inspire confidence when riding over bumps. In summary, I am still very happy with the purchase and find it a great introduction to the world of electric bikes. I had never commuted to work by bike, and now I do it almost every day. My needs don't justify buying a bike that costs several thousand dollars, so this one is perfect for the time being.

Decent for the price, but has issues
Was intrigued by the price and reviews. I knew I wasn't purchasing anything high end but definitely hopped for a little better. I ordered 2x bikes, one for me one for my wife. The bikes arrived, and right off the bat had issues with one where the forks didn't line up. Next within a week of geting new forks, one the motors crapped out. The customer service was fairly responsive, and sent me new parts, not in a supertimelymanner, but at leastI did get them. Luckily I'm mechanically inclined and was able to do the work and to fix the bikes on my own.On a positive, the bikes do rip and are fun to ride, and fairly easy to troubleshoot if you have a basic understanding of how they work.

powerful ebike, well-priced
I'm using this ebike for a fairly short commute for the most part. The components seem to be of good quality. i've only just had it for a week so I cannot make any comment about durability. If you're like me you don't want to arrive at work sweaty and in need of a change of clothes first thing in the morning. This bike will get you there quickly and with ease. You really don't have to exert yourself much at all. You can pedal with essentially no resistance and the assist will get you to speed quickly. It took a while for the bike to arrive. Some communications issues with the seller but all good. Seems that the color I ordered (white) was out of stock....Black was in stock (doesn't really matter to me) but even that took a couple of weeks to arrive. At $769 (CAN) I have no complaints and worth the wait. Assembly is pretty straight forward. You may have to adjust the front disc brake but everything else is pretty simple. Allen wrenches and box wrenches are supplied. I think I needed only one other size Allen wrench to complete the assembly. No need to take this to the bike shop for assembly for anybody who has ever owned a bicycle before. Only thing that might be new to you is the battery and the disc brakes. Back wheel gear assembly is pre-assembled and in my case required no adjustment. Just mount the seat, the handlebars, front wheel with quick release and the pedals and you're good to go.This bike flies even at the mid-level of assistance. You won't want to go to the third level of assist unless you're on an open road with no traffic. As ebikes go, this one is light at about 54 pounds. That's about twice the weight of a regular mountain bike.
