Great piece of kit, but they need laces to be added to make them work well
I bought these a few years ago, but have not needed to use them until now. I first used them on a walk up to Nine Standards Rigg last Friday. There was plenty of wet snow and the terrain was quite boggy. After a short while the toe protector part of the EzyShoes fell forward and under my boot. This happened a few times during the day, so I was quite quite disappointed. Today I went up Wild Boar Fell. Before this climb I added red boot laces to the two front tensioners on each shoe. I tied the laces around the back of my ankles, thus locking the toe protectors in place. (see photos) This worked excellently. The EzyShoes stayed firmly in place and gave me great grip on snow and ice.
