When I purchased some new chef's knives to use in my kitchen, I knew I also needed to order a set of Knife Edge Guards to help protect the blades and sharp edges I maintain on my new knives and protect my fingers and hands when removing the knives from the Chef's Knife Case to use them. I studied the Edge Guards listed on Amazon.com and narrowed my choice down to two sets that included the correct number and sizes of Edge Guards to properly cover my new knife blades. Both sets were made of the same material, were priced very similarly and had reasonably good reviews. I decided to order the Noble Home & Chef Edge Guards because of one feature they had the the other set lacked. The noble Home & Chef Edge Guards are lined with a soft, cushioning material to prevent the Edge Guards from accidentally scraping or abrading the knives' blades when they are inserted or removed from the Edge Guards. The other set had some low review scores posted because those Edge Guards left marks and scrapes that would not wipe off, buff or polish away on the sides of the blades of brand new knives purchased by those customers. That was enough for me to make my selection. I removed my new chef's knives from their padded, protective shipping boxes and put the new Noble Home & Chef Edge Guards on them as soon as they arrived. They fit perfectly, hold securely to the knife blade they are protecting, and the padded lining works as designed to protect and cushion the knife blades going on, while they are stored in the Knife Case, and when I slide them off to use the knife. The Noble Home & Chef Knife Edge Guards do exactly what I bought them to do and they do it smoothly and without deficiencies or difficulties. Cio Bella !!

Yep .. they do as they say.They seem well made and well thought out. It's a lot of work to sharpen knives just to toss them in a drawer with the blades unprotected.This remedies that dilemma.

Like the ease of inserting knife and protection it gives but my knives were too short for the guard and therefor had to cut off one end of the guard. Fits perfect now ,,,

Amazingly sharp kitchen knives need protective measures. Ergo these items are the very best to protect those expensive blades. I totally recommend them!

For the money, they are a good choice as long as your knives don't move around wherever you are storing them. They are open on one side, although the pinching tension of the plastic is fairly high. The covers won't slide off the knives without help, but they will slide enough to expose the blade if your knives get jostled in storage.I store my knives on a magnetic strip, so no covers necessary. And when I'm transporting my knives, they are in a chef's rollup bag, so the covers stay in place. But if you use these for covers in a drawer, I can't promise they will stay on.The covers are easy to score with a blade and snap off *cleanly* at the desired length. That is a definite plus. And the inside of the covers are lined with a soft felt-like material - another plus. Overall, they are a good purchase - I have bought them twice now.

They are super versatile. It says they are for kitchen knives but can be used for meat cutting knives as well. I do recommend getting 2 packs though buy other than that they are made durable and versatile!

Purchased this set on the reviews of others. If I read more, I would not have purchased.Mostly I wanted this to protect my new Victorinox 14" slicer. I use the larges one for this, although it does not cover completely. About an inch of the knife is protrudes from the top.This is a guard not a sheath and opens on one side. My knife easily slips out unless I attach a rubber band to secure the guard so the knife does not slide out.The product is sturdy and I don't believe it would break.

Made from very durable material but still flexible enough to easily take on & off the knives. Really hood product!
