Good but takes a bit to lay flat
I got this to put at the base of my retaining wall so I didn't have to use as much chemicals to keep the grass and weeds from growing at the base where there is still too much of a slope for me to get with my riding mower. It does make a great weed barrier but takes a lot of the pins because it comes sort of rolled but also pressed down so it has some folded like creases. The little green roll of cling material has been useful on my hydroponic trellis.

Can be custom fit to your needs!
We use this coco roll to line our wall planters. It is easy to use and can be custom fit to your planter or basket. It is very strong and helps to keep the potting media in the planter. It also allows for good drainage and airflow. It comes with stakes if needed.

Works Well To Line Flower Pots
I used this to line several planters with just wooden rails for the sides (the planters were intended to hold pots, but we never found any pots the right size for the planter), and it worked great. It keeps the dirt in yet allows the soil to drain nicely. It was tough enough to last the whole season and should be suitable for several more. This mulch is easy to work with. The size I got is narrow enough to use in potted plants. It cuts readily with heavy-duty scissors or garden shears. It does help hold moisture trapped near the plants and decreases the evaporation rate, helping with the water bill. The product description is accurate. It arrived quickly and without any issues. I will get it again.

A roll that pulls apart easily and can be cut, good for mulching or as worm bedding
This fibrous roll pulls apart jaggedly, or you can cut it, to use it on top of planters for a tidy appearance, or as mulch that will eventually be integrated into the soil. It retains moisture well but has good drainage in the garden. I am using this as “worm bedding “ in my worm bins, as you can see in my photo. The worms can make their way through it and around it, and eventually it will decompose, but in the meantime, it will keep them hydrated and insulated from heat and cold. This has no odor to it, and it is convenient to use. It is not super dense, so it works better in the worm bin than it does to insulate plant roots. It would not work well as a weed barrier. You can water right on top of this and the water will go through into your planter or garden soil. The worms seem to like it, and if they are happy, I am happy!

Going to use this to prevent cats from using garden as a litter box
I am going to use this coconut fiber roll for a different use than it was intended. I needed a way to prevent my backyard, feral cats from using my garden as a litter box. This just might do the trick. Bonus is it will also keep the weeds under control. It was easy to roll out and secure with the included u-shaped spikes.

Sturdy
There wasn't enough to cover all the ground I wanted, so ended up placing it behind my gardenia bushes where it's difficult to reach to do the weeding. So far it's keeping the weeds at bay. There were enough spikes to keep it from blowing away, but it's going to take more time to get it to lie completely flat. It's been several days and you can still see ripples in it. I'm sure with rain/watering all that will relax eventually. Oh, it's quite dense. I had to really work to get the staples pounded through it. Once through the mat, the staples drove easily through the ground. Might be nice to include staples with an angled cut on the the end, rather than the straight across the bottom horizontal cut. Would make it much easier to drive them through the mat without tearing it, which did happen for me in a couple of places. All in all, good mat. Wish it came in a longer size.

Hoping to use to insulate potted flower bulbs this winter!
I am planning to put out several planters with a variety of tulips, daffodils and other flowering bulbs this winter. I will be using this product to line the inside of the flower pots to try to keep the temperatures stable. Last winter the temps were so wacky, some of my bulbs rotted and others sprouted. Hopefully this product will help. The product comes rolled, makes it easy to measure out and handle.
