Super thin, helps make a quick installation
House we bought had 3 12” glass with gold base hallway light. Two 40 watt bulbs each (240 watts to light a hallway?) So a double whammy, ugly plus wasteful.Installation was a snap, but super messy as it always is when cutting ceiling drywall.Already had power / junction boxes above each light. They provided both the quick connect and wire nuts to attach B/W/Ground wires. Be nice to not provide only the quick connect as it seems wasteful to throw out unused wire nuts, but then I seem to have a lifetime+ supply of them now in the garage.Removed the old lights, and cut out the 3 holes in drywall (matching the paper template provided.)Connected the 3 wire for each light. The super thin lights fit well in the drywall cutout. Even if you have a joist where you are placing the light, you should be fit fine. The body thickness of these lights are < the drywall thickness - of course you need room for storing the wiring box / connecting wire - but you aren't needing to steer clear of beams like the older / thicker recessed lights required.I'll be adding a dimmer switch for these just due to the fact they are so much brighter than the old lights. Of course now I need to paint the ceiling, because the bright lights make that obvious to the eye.

Work well - bit larger (and brighter) than standard 6-inch LED discs
Nothing overtly different about these lights compared to other LED disc (alternative to cans) other than the diameter being a bit larger and the light output a bit more. I have them on a standard decora style dimmer switch and they dim smoothly. Glad I do - they really are bright at full blast in the space. I replaced some 6-inch cans and made a bit of mess with the hole in the drywall ceiling taking them out so these larger diameter replacements beat using a goof ring.My main (and only) gripe is the junction box is pretty cramped with just two wires (one in, one out). More wires is really tight. This situation is not unique to these lights, just my common complaint. To save some room I used Wago's instead of nuts. For a similar install where the previous can light was acting as a junction to other rows of lights I just installed a separate junction box nearby.

Awesome LED alternative to conventional recessed light cans.
Selected these 7-inch 3-color temperature LED recessed light kits from Elaruslux for their increased wattage and output, and ease of installation. Their value is also a consideration. So much more affordable than the bulky old steel cans from the past. These LED thin bodied lights can fit into tighter locations, offering more design ideas. I chose to try these for a cathedral ceiling living room, and to see if these will work for exterior lights for soffits. I like the 3 white color choices. I chose the neutral 4500K white. But may decide to try warm white. This is the joy of these lights, I can choose to alter the settings depending on the decor, the paint, and owner's preference. The 7-inch diameter matches well to conventional 6-inch recessed cans. These are a time and money saver!

Great lights.
I had two LED 4 foot shop fixtures in this space before installing these. I installed the first two and tested them, the light output was about the same as the other shop light until I remembered the color temp was selectable. Once put on 6K color the light output is about 20% better. Now that the light is spread out over a greater distance, the light is more usable. A great improvement. The lights are well made, they are very thin but sturdy. Even being on for an hour they barely get warm. Having the lights flush to the ceiling, the light can spread out and reach more of the usable space, the shop lights were more directional downward and left a huge shadow in the middle.I would purchase again.

Very bright and super thin
The media could not be loaded. I got these to upgrade my existing ceiling can lights. I misread the specification and got myself 7" panels instead of 6" panels. Since I am not willing to remove my existing can lights and drill larger holes, these will unfortunately rest in my garage for the foreseeable future, until my next renovation project. That said, I did test them and I am happy to share that they are rather on the bright side, and that they kind of work with a one-pole dimer: they do not flicker, but you are not able to get 10% light. They start somewhere higher. I suspect that withe a two pole dimmer (one that has both hot and neutral), the dimming should work over a wider range. In summary, I am happy with the product, but next time I will more carefully check the size of the lights I want to replace.

You're standard LED recessed slim light, but a little bigger.
I've been getting a lot of these lately because I want to update the lights in all my rooms. Honestly, these are all almost all the same with a few minor variations that really don't matter. What matters is these are easy to install and they work. All the features test working on arrival.I like these because they are a little bigger than your standard 6" and I have a large bedroom and wanted some bigger ones rather than adding more holes for more lights and these will do that trick.Packaged well, everything working as it should.

THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST I FOUND - AND AMONG THE LOWEST PRICED
These came in a heavy, staple reinforced generic box, but the ordinariness stopped there. They contain the more advanced and efficient SMD2835 LEDs and the 7" diameter has a tremendous 125W equivalency consuming only18W and a super wide 160 degree beam angle. Clear concise instructions are included with a web address for questions. They are neatly built from aluminum and plastic and are dimmable down to 5%. Both wire nuts and wiring blocks are provided to satisfy installer's preference. All at about half the price of the ones that look the same, come in a fancy box, but have obsolete LEDs and less power. You really have to read the fine print to identify these. The type of LED is a great place to look. You can learn more about their grades online.
