The best part of this is the way that it cuts so smoothly and easily. I got it to trim out my cat's paw pads. since that's a sensitive spot for my cat and he can't speak, i tested it on my ankle (very sensitive for me). it smoothly cut the hairs on my ankle and there was no pulling. other electric razors have pulled on my hair while cutting it. this one smoothly cut the hairs, no pain, no need to redo the area. so i tried it on my cat and although he was anxious, he was a good boy after he got accustomed to the quiet sound (to humans its quiet but who knows, even something silent to us might be loud for them). got all of his paw pads done and his hind legs at the very bottom where he loves to sit in his own pee. cordless so its very easy to maneuver. quiet but not silent. the reason for the full 5 stars is the functionality, attachments in the kit and the value, the smoothness of the cut, the well designed electric shaver for animals. the on/off is in a great spot. there are no portions of the head that will move during cutting unlike human razors.

These worked fantastic on my murderous Persian cat. They cut smooth, keep a good charge, and didn’t get hot. Being cordless was incredibly helpful as well. I normally would have to shave her in two sittings with my old clippers because she gets stressed, and I don’t want to be unalived. She looks ridiculous until I can finish. I was able to get her almost completely done with these in one shot (and a mask that covers her face essential blinding her). I didn’t really care about all the extra stuff that came with these when I bought it, but the scissors and other bits came in handy.

This great, lightweight, cordless clipper was exactly what I needed to deal with matted fur on my senior cat. I love the tiny head (and that you can change the heads out) and relatively quiet sound. The charge seems to last a long time and it’s just a simple, easy to use device that does what it says. This was SUCH a better experience for my cat than trying to brush or scissor cut the mats out. Mats are painful and irritating to their skin and this clipper shaved them away very gently. I used the smallest head with the included guard attachment and it worked perfectly.

My young Maine Coon travelled out of state with me recently, and I think she was stressed out. Maine Coons are very fluffy cats with long hair. She ended up matting very quickly, right down to the skin. Normally mats aren’t much of a problem with her with regular brushing, but I swear these mats sprung up overnight and were impossible. And being right at skin level, they were very sensitive and I assume painful. I tried working through the mats as usual, but she wasn’t having it. I ordered this kit to be delivered overnight to where I was staying, and used the clippers without any guard to carefully shave the areas where it was matted down to the skin. I then switched to the narrow tip (it comes with a wide, medium, and narrow tip to swap out) and used it to do final trims. Fortunately she’s OK with the clipper - I’d earlier gotten her used to the sound of a similar pair of clippers we use at home. MC’s are naturally curious, and she had no fear of it. When I returned home, I had an issue with my Aussie having loose stools. She was due for a grooming session, so had longer hair on her backside. It was an absolute mess. Fortunately, with these waterproof clippers, I was able to put her in the tub and clean and trim away the mess and hair with the handheld shower head being held by my husband. The other tools in the kit are OK for backups for my regular items. Dropping a star as the scissors in my set were slightly misaligned, making them more difficult to use.

I have bought grooming products before that say they are quite. They are not quite. My cats are scared of loud noise nd strangers. If you have a cats like mine you understand that they are fearful of everything. That being said my kitty was not raised with paw trimming with a machine. I always trimmed her paws with scissors. Usually it takes long plus I don’t really get in between her toes. With this machine she was not scared at all. She let me trim all four paws. She didn’t like me trimming her butt , but that’s normal for her. I did use the machine on my kitten cuz I want him to get used to being groomed. He was freighted but it was his first groom session. The machine was able to cut through some thick fur and two knots. It’s powerful but easy to use. It was comfortable to hold. Attachments are easy to change out. So far I’m very happy with my purchase.

Great job on our 18 yr old cat. It’s quiet also!! That’s a huge plus. Aire wasn’t annoyed at all with this trimmer. I honestly think she knew we were helping her. At her age it had become harder for her to groom her hair the way she did when she was younger. She had developed small mats of hair on her belly. This little gem did the job in less than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend this.

My cats a little baby and cant handle any clippers. This was quite and safe, he definitely hated it, but it worked while I could hold the knotted long haired wuss long enough to get some knots cut out. It works but my cat still hated it.

great deal for what you getting and quality is there. I just hope my cat can get along with the shaving better bc he starts getting aggressive towards the end and I can't have him look half complete lol

Got this to trim my longhair cat's bum. Never used a clipper ever before so I was worried about handling it at first. Ended up using the medium size clipper tip (just for the bum, and it was first trimmed by scissors so the area was not like super long hair), and it was very easy to operate and did the job fast and well. Not loud, but also not as quite as I anticipated. It is definitely great for trimming small section such as bum or paws. I won't expect it to go through super thick fur since this is rather a small and portable clipper. Personal insight: if your cat's coat is super long and dense, maybe cut it short to about 1/2''-1'' using scissors, then use the clippers, it will be way easier (or go through the area twice with the clipper, once for the top section just to make it short, then do the part close to skin more throughly).

Probably the easiest product I have ever used for my cat. No fear of cutting him even without a guard because there is a built in one. Battery lasts forever and it works at a frequency that doesn’t freak my cat out at all, he actually really liked it lol. Amazing little home kit! (The shave job is my fault not the razors, it’s harder to shave a cat than you think at first lol)

Seems like an alright set of trimmers, however it's not as quiet as I was expecting. It's comparable to any other trimmer. It's gonna take a while to get my cat to allow me to give him a good hair cut in the areas I want cleaned up. Slowly but surely I've been trimming a little at a time until he gets over stimulated. I love all the parts that come with, it's just a matter of gaining trust and compliance. Be careful to not clip their wiskers when working around the face
