We spend a large portion of time out and about with our dogs and here at Doodlebone we believe it’s imperative that dogs are as comfortable as possible. The original Doodlebone soft padded dog harness is the perfect walking accessory made from breathable air mesh fabric, our harness spreads weight across the chest of the dog avoiding strain on the neck created by wearing a standard collar, whilst preventing the chafing and strain placed on the joints caused by standard harnesses. To ensure the harness is the perfect fit you should be able to fit two fingers between the harness and your dog, providing this doesnt mean they can slip out of it. Ensure you leave enough room to allow for your dog potentially holding their breath when being measured. If you are buying for a puppy then always go a size up so they can grow into it. wrong sizing
The harness is lovely but according to measurements a medium should fit my 7mth cockapoo with room for growth. NO it is tiny and only just went over her head. Not as described so very disappointing. This medium should be small. Shame I didn't read other reviews first as other people have had similar problems - could have saved myself a trip to the PO.!!!! Compared to her old harness this is much smaller check out the photos.

Slightly disappointing
My little dog wore this as soon as it arrived, for she was about to go for a walk. Passing her head through the 'collar' was very difficult because it was extremely tight. She has long ears, and they became trapped. She's a medium sized dog, with a medium sized head, brainy as she is, so size M should have fitted her easily. Her previous similar harness has been fine and even was on the first wearing. I can see that it will wash fine, because it's the same material. IMO the collar part could do with being about a cm. wider. I have noticed though that the material stretches a little with use. So I stretched it and putting it on a second time was a bit easier. She yelped though when I was taking it off as one of her ears got caught up in it. Once it's on, it's smart, and the narrow fluorescent strips will make her visible at night. That I like. If only it was cut more generously!

This is too small
Any buyer of this item would be lucky if it fitted their dog in the way shown in the illustration . What I received might have fitted a King Charles spaniel ,certainly not the dog illustrated. It would not go over the head of either of my small to medium sized dogs ,yet alone reach their shoulders. I stopped trying to fit it as I am not into strangling dogs. Total waste of money.Amozan asked for what I consider an exorbitant price to return the thing.[I wonder what I am paying Prime for]. I will give it to the first person that I meet with a small dog especially one with a pin head.

Doodlebone Airmesh Dog Harness, Black, Medium
This size is the right size in terms of measurements for my dog, but did not fit comfortably given the close proximity of the hard plastic fastening buckles to each other. I had to give the harness to an animal charity. As it was for me a waste of money, I have given under the heading of "value for money" only 1 star; had the harness fitted better, I would have awarded more stars. I had the impression that it was likely that the harness would have been easy to clean, if the appropriate circumsatnces had arisen.

Terrible terrible terrible
Very very bad quality, not even looks a bit comfortable, its because of the super low price but i dont get the value of money,Moreover i have to tell this amazin seller has horrible CS. Their attitude is simply joking.I had to refund because of their wrong advice but they refused to refund the postage. I had to spend long time with Amazon cs and eventually got back £3.20 after 2 times of long chatting.Maybe good for other dogs, but certainly bad for greyhound. Plus this Amazon seller is totally joking.

Great!
Bought this for our Shih Tzu who normally doesn't like his harness although he loves walks! My friend has one of these for her Shih Tzu and thought it might be good for ours. Only a tenner, so we thought 'Why not?' Harness is very light, well padded in the chest area and took very little adjusting. Dog seems to far prefer this, even offering his head so we can slip it over, and lifting his legs so we can buckle it. Dog seems happy, therefore we're happy! Will be getting another one soon.

Secure but tends to rub behind elbows
I initially thought that this was a great harness until I discovered sore places behind her elbows where it had rubbed after a few long walks. It needs a longer, narrower strip that goes under the front legs so that the girth strap can fit a little further back. Also the clip should be higher up the rib cage, not tucked in behind the elbow. However, it is very secure, so instead of using this harness for our long hikes (found the Julius K9 better for that), we use it when she 'helps' me in the garden, as I need to keep her tethered (being a recently acquired rescue dog with a reputation for escaping from anywhere!).

Fell to pieces after a few weeks.
Stitching came away in a few places after light wear, the Doodlebone logo also came away and the edging around the neck became bobbled. I have had a few Doodlebone harnesses over the years and always found them to be great, I am in fact still using a harness I bought many years ago for a previous pet. Really disappointed with this one.
