Surprisingly firm, cover won’t unzip
I do like this mattress but it is so firm I had to eventually get an egg-crate topper to put over it. I use it for camping, on a platform, and it is definitely not soft. Also I’m disappointed the white cover isn’t actually removable. I don’t know if the zippers are glued or what but they don’t budge. Directions say to spot clean which is annoying when it has a cover. I do use a fitted cot sheet over it, which is a little big but works fine. Still would like to wash the white cover…

Good insulation from cold floor
I got 2 for travel mattresses in my camper. I needed something that could fold out of the way and something I could sleep on with my arthritis. I haven't spent the entire night on it yet, but I have laid on it for extended time to test it and I think I'll be fine to sleep on it.Normally I have one on top of the other and I will sleep on both, but I do it that way because I sometimes camp alone. I will just pull the top one off when someone is with me. Having the mattresses on top of each other makes cold weather camping easier. I tried it last night when our temps went way down with a little travel heated throw, and I was toasty! Plenty of insulation below me. So yeah, definitely, this set up will work nicely for me when I do my next long road trip. They are a bit on the firm side but I'm going to have a topper on it. And after your body heat and weight is on it for a few minutes it begins to conform to your lines, so it's not like sleeping on a rock or anything.Happy with these.

So much better than an air mattress!!
A good guest bed for the price! And I would consider buying one again, should the need arise. I sleep very well on this! I bought this to sleep on at relatives homes that don't have a guest bed, don't want to store a mattress, and think air mattresses are comfortable to sleep on. Bonus: no pumps or worry about sharp objects. And few air mattresses keep fully inflated overnight. ( I've found sleeping on the couch or floor more comfortable than an air mattress! ) At 56 years, I'm a bit of a princess when It comes to beds. This is NOT as comfy as most beds, but its serving nicely. I can still get a good night's sleep. I also added a foam mattress topper. So it adds a couple more inches of comfort and keeps it held together better, no cracks to slide into. Add some decent sheets, and a good nights sleep is possible! I've used it both directly on the floor and on a boxspring/bed frame. Not much difference other than being higher off the ground. It arrived as a deflated, vacuum sealed foam pad, that took some time to spring into shape after opening. After about 24 hours it still wasn't quite up to 5" thick. I did sleep on it about 6 hours later, since I didn't get to open it until late in the day. I have not measured it since. It works well enough. Its pretty comfy, but I do find it has a "dent" after the night. After the day, it seems to disappear. Since I'm using it for an extended period, I rotate it end for end, about once week, so its getting recovery time/more even wear.I bought this bag to store/carry it :https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5EOUFN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Folded up in this case, it still takes up a chunk of space, and fits in the back seat of a Sebring. No room for anyone or anything else on the seat, though. One question for the manufacturers of the mattress. Why have a cover that is zippered, if you're not supposed to take it off to wash/clean it?? FWIW, I have NOT tried to remove it. But I AM curious!!

Impressed so far!
We got ours only yesterday, so allow me to address the following:You need to be smarter than a baked potato and actually remove it from all layers of packaging. Ours started to fluff up pretty promptly once we did that. We decided to put it on our current twin bed in our spare bedroom so it could relax and fluff overnight.Thusfar, the crinkle from being rolled has almost completely flattened out and it is at roughly 4 inches after about 12 hours. We are going to continue to let it relax and fluff a bit before anyone or anything is put on it. Patience is the key with this sort of stuff. My spouse pouted that he couldn't nest on it immediately... lolIt's wider than I was expecting and is the same size as our twin mattress. With as many people gripe about these things being narrow, that's why we went with this one. It's not narrow. As I said above, it is the same width and height as our current twin mattress. The only smell we noticed was from the plastic, and once we got rid of that we haven't had any lingering smells. New mattresses always have a weird smell for a few hours after you un-plastic them. Doesn't matter the brand. Ours went away pretty fast. Plus, if the smell is that much of a concern/issue, maybe take off the case and wash it?What this review does NOT cover:Comfort - we haven't tested it yet.Zipper Quality - Haven't removed the case for washing yet.All in all, we are pretty pleased with our purchase and based on the above are giving it 5 stars. If it's as comfy as it looks we may get another one and use them for camping.ADDENDUM:My spouse loves it and says it is squishable but not too squishable and quite comfortable.

Not suitable as a mattress, arrived stained
The item arrived with a gross brown stain under the plastic, and unfortunately, as other reviewers correctly state, once you open the box it's impossible to get it back in to return. It inflated to the full 5 inches so I thought with a decent cover the ick factor of sleeping on a mystery stain would be manageable. And it would have been manageable if I could have slept at all. This is more memory foam inspired than actual memory foam.. maybe the term just references the tiny cast-off bits making up the middle layer, or maybe it's just low quality.Either way, this is on plush carpet, I'm 5'5, 130 lbs and within an hour sink so low it's as painful as sleeping directly on the floor. My regular bed is the firmest mattress the store sold (real memory foam) with a cheap ikea topper so I like a firm bed- this here is probably a fine mattress topper, but it's extremely misleading to call it a mattress. A 2 inch blow up mattress provides better cushioning, for a much better price.Oh and it is in no way portable. It can fold into a messy sofa shape, but unless you have gumbo arms you're not going to be carrying this very far.

Smells like chemicals for a long time
I bought this mattress to use for myself in my sons nursery during the first few months after we moved him out of our room.It is comfortable, however I have to give it a 1 star as the smell is unbelievably strong and has not fully gone away even after few weeks of use. The first 5 days I couldn’t even sleep on it, even though I brought it outside to air out and left the windows in the nursery open. I was concerned about health issues.

More information about product. Like weight of the mattress
I wasn't to pleased with this product. I was planing to use it for travelling with grand children to have extra bed for them. There is not information about the weight of the mattress. When it was delivered in vacuum box, I should return it right away. It was to heavy to use it for travelling. I would recommend for next customers to put weight in the information spec, so people don't make mistake like me. Now it is hard to return it, because it is out of the box and there is no way I can put it back. May be some price adjustment would help. Thanks Mila

Extremely disappointed
My first review did not make it here as I was disappointed so much so had real difficulties containing my emotions. To say that i was disappointed is not to say anything. Both, fabric cover and the foam cushions are made of very low quality materials. The foam is actually made of glued shreded foam pieces. The glue used smelles unbarebly toxic even after a whole week being outside to wind the smell out. After handling it i had a rash on my hanss that didn't go away for at least couple of days. I was extremely disappointed so the whole thing went straight into a dumpster.

Excellent
Zero complaints, very comfortable, easy to store, did I mention comfortable? Fits in the back of my van with the seats up because of how it folds up and then I can put the seats down and have a bed. Which is exactly what I wanted! Anyways, it’s very comfortable, I don’t need any other padding, and I’m not a light weight lady.
