Awakening the Zodiac

Tackling the Zodiac story can go 3 ways: horrible, ok, or superb. I would have to say this one is OK - for the most part - though there are moments that are horrible. I do have to say it was suspenseful. The film actually starts out as being kind of fun. Amateur sleuth/bounty hunter types try to unravel the Zodiac mystery. The writer was clever to incorporate just the right amount of humor to offset a potentially gruesome story. I'd say the first 3/4 of the film caught my interest. The "reveal" was disappointing and seemed to be half-baked. Still, for a weekend thriller fix, it was OK. I think it had a number of missed opportunities. I was able to connect with the 3 main characters, but the last half of the film really felt slapped together.I wish I had waited for it to come our on DVD rental rather than purchasing it for streaming. I'll probably never watch it again.

The Good: It is an interesting take on the Zodiac's story and provides a unique view on what might have happened or where the Zodiac may be today.The Bad: The story line was highly predictable and something about the casting didn't feel right for me either, though the acting was good. No scare factor besides a few jumps here and there.Overall: Not a bad watch if you like the genre or actors but it's not something i would want to keep around and watch over and over again for thrills.

Premise is great, however, the acting is terrible. In the first scene, Leslie Bibb's performance was so terrible, I knew I had made a mistake. It had the feel of a not very rehearsed school play. There were a couple of jump scares, however, they did not come close to making up for the 1 hour and 40 minutes of time my family and I wasted viewing this film. Money and time NOT well spent. Watch some paint dry instead. Would give zero stars if possible.

After a fortune-seeking couple uncovers a forty-year-old film reel depicting two gruesome murders taken by the killer himself, they set out to solve the mystery and claim the $100,000 reward. Shane West And Leslie Bibb are that couple. As the couple dig deeper into trying to find the Zodiac, they uncover a few things that actually alert the Zodiac who had retired successfully. But once the couple stirred up to much he comes out of retirement. Shane and Leslie do a fine job esp. Shane West and I did like this suspenseful little movie. It was entertaining and well worth Seeing.

Excellent movie! I wish it would have been longer but well worth your time to watch it. There has been several Zodiac films through the years but this one is the best. Several unknown actors did a A-List performance. I was beyond impressed with this film. Buy it, you won’t regret it. Thank You.

Not worth the $9 rental. It had the acting depth of a made for TV movie, the plot was pretty bad, they sprinkled in some facts that anyone can Wiki, and the ending was just terrible. It had some good suspense mixed in, but It would be more reasonable to rent this for $2 like a few other reviewers suggested. My advice: wait til the price goes down to rent this :)

If you're a fan of Shane West its definitely worth the watch other then that its just eh.

The Zodiac is a serial killer who has been dormant since the late 1960s. When a down-on-their-luck couple find an old film reel capturing previous Zodiac killings, they quickly become the reason for The Zodiac to come out of retirement.A predictable thriller where the hunters become the hunted and have to fight for their lives. The setting is a rather dreary small town in America where the inhabitants live hand-to-mouth and most don't seem to care too much. But Mick and Zoe still see a glimmer of hope in the possibility of picking up a reward for information about The Zodiac. The hopelessness of their situation is conveyed well and the acting is pretty good all round. The film itself is a bit slow and the filmmakers have taken the time to make sure the viewer doesn't miss anything (possibly too much time).But overall this is a reasonably entertaining film that you don't have to think too much about. 3.5 stars.

Earlier movie based on a real killer.

Bon thriller a ne pas comparer avec zodiac de fincher ce triller est juste une fiction mais un bon film jamais sorti en france j ai fait un calcul pres de 50% des films sont pas commercialise en france en blu ray c pire la cata pas la peine de parler des usa juste a cote en allemagne tout est commercialise dvd blu ray c quoi le probleme en france on est les blaireaux de la distribution edition!!!
