This headunit is AWESOME. Tons of features, CarPlay, and a huge bright high res display. What more could you want. The wireless CarPlay connects super fast, and the headunit is easy to setup as long as you know how to do a little wiring. The customer service was amazing as well, I messaged PLZ on their Facebook page. They got right back to me, helped me, and also offered to help me do an update on my headunit. They even helped me install my own custom audio wallpaper to it as well. These guys are awesome. Good luck finding customer service anywhere else like this. I looked at a ton of other headunits before buying this, I even looked at some “name brand” Sony, pioneer, jvc, units that are similar to this style. All of those were double to triple the price. This performs just as good if not better than most, and the display is better looking. And the display bezel will fit into the design and form language of most modern ish cars.

Installed the PLZ MP-108 in my Jeep TJ Wrangler and it was a HUGE upgrade over my single din unit. Installation was straight forward with no issues. The included installation instructions were easy to follow and covered installation of the radio, steering wheel controls and the backup camera. I was looking at other name brand units that were 4 or 5 times more expensive and very happy with this unit. You do have to reach out to Support to update the boot logo if you want the car manufacturer logo on boot up. I reached out to support to ask a few questions and they were OUTSTANDING! There was a small time delay due to support being in another time zone but they were very responsive to my questions about updating the boot logo, adding a wallpaper and fine tuning the built-in mic.

The installation: Went well enough, but as the listing recommends you will need to purchase a trim kit - all the wire connectors will need terminated and spliced into a harness, so get connectors too. The included microphone wire is just way too short for any sort of routing, so we'll be using the internal one for a bit until a longer external mic arrives. The camera is ok for being included for free, but isn't well suited for a long term install. Be careful how you route camera power, since it needs to come from near the head unit. These two points are the only reason for the subtracted star. The Usage: Bluetooth connected fast, and the quality of streaming with CarPlay and Android Auto was amazing. I loved how quick it connected. It is hard to unpair a phone from launching directly to Android Auto though - no option from the headunit to stop the automatic process was clear. On this unit it seems best to use the steering wheel control for volume since the center panel buttons can be hard to determine while in motion. The sound: AM/FM sound is "ok" - definitely no HD Radio signal, even with the appropriate connections for the antenna amp made. The bluetooth mode is much better, which is why you should be buying this unit in the first place. EQ control is ok enough for most users. Don't expect a miracle from stock speakers.

I was super happy with the outcome of this stereo, and it honestly turned out better than I expected. The install gave my car a much more modern look, the touchscreen is bright and easy to use, and wireless CarPlay connects quickly and works smoothly every time I get in. What I liked most was how much it improved the overall driving experience. My phone integrates seamlessly for music, maps, and calls, and the sound quality feels cleaner and stronger than my old setup. It really made a noticeable difference, and I’m very pleased with how everything came out.

Pairing the “PLZ 7” stereo with my phone was quick and painless. Once connected, the signal stayed strong even when I was moving around the car. Calls came through clearly with almost no dropouts. Overall, it felt reliable for daily use. This unit slid right into my dashboard without any major gaps or wobbling. The brackets that came with the radio worked great with my double-din kit. I used it in my 2005 Honda Civic, and it looks like it was meant to be there. The frame feels solid and matches the look of my car’s interior. I had a Kenwood x595 before this,s and the audio feels pretty similar with my JBL speakers. With 240 watts of output, you can crank up the volume without distortion. Mids are clear, and highs stay crisp at higher levels. Bass is punchy as well. It is nice to have CarPlay and use it for my navigation instead of my phone. The QLED screen is bright enough to see in direct sunlight and never feels washed out. At night, I could dim it so it did not blind me on long drives. The color and contrast make the CarPlay interface look sharp. Apple CarPlay loads quickly once I get it all set up. Bluetooth audio streaming felt seamless when switching between phone and built-in apps. There is a tiny bit of latency, but that's to be expected when you buy a cheaper radio. Worth the money though if you're on a budget.

Support is said to be available on the seller's website but good luck finding any support there... this particular model isn't even listed in their products. I installed this properly and had only front speakers which worked fine, but when I added 2 rear mid speakers to the harness, the volume coming out of the rear speakers is, at best, 20% the loudness of the front speakers making the entire system useless. I am on the phone with Amazon trying to get help but they tell me my only recourse is to try to help me get a refund but that isn't an option after all the brain damage I incurred installing the unit. I just want to know if there is a setting or some other menu item that can help me get this thing sounding like it's supposed to

The bad so far: -the remote only works when super close to screen. - the screen was not working for like 2 minutes ( i think it doesn’t like the florida heat ). Its happened twice on a week. - sometimes when you leave carplay to home screen the music stops. - screen does not have auto dim. - it’s laggy when changing a song and the system is also laggy when it is warm. - it gets quiet on calls almost like the volume turns down automatically. The good : - the camera is decent quality. - the design looks nice and sleek. - it has a decent amount of configurations. - the screen picture quality on carplay it’s pretty high - it was easy to pair with phone - the charging port it’s convenient - the mic works great

Prior to purchasing, I conducted a full product research, reviews and product comparison. Far as Amazon purchasing, I'm looking for the best price coupled with the highest product review. I take in account the star rating in relationship to the number of consumers rating the product. I follow this by reading a few of the highest ratings as well as the lowest ratings and try to make a sound judgment through all my research. I purchased the 7" - 902w May of 2024 and I couldn't be anymore satisfied. The ease of use, touchscreen responsiveness and clarity, the sound clarity, all highly impressive!!! A comparable quality product from a well-known name brand would cost double or more. As I said, I purchased the 7" May of 2024. Therefore, I can conclude that it's a highly reliable, dependable and overall top quality unit. I'm so pleased with PLZ that I recently purchased the 10" version, mp-108. Lastly, I must mention PLZ Customer Service Team. Their customer service aims to please, assist and provide outstanding customer service. Their units allow for customizing boot-up and wallpaper screens. Customer service promptly assist you with personalization as well as any firmware updates required.
