Build Your Own Wood Fired Oven: From the earth, brick or new materials Paperback – 1 Oct. 2011

A great book, got me started on my wood fired oven obsession - didn't teach me everything, but taught me enough to get the basics. Has loads of really good info on the background and concept and lots of useful details on all types of ovens (especially clay/adobe and all types of igloo-design ovens). In the end I chose a design which was not in this book, that of a Barrel-style wood oven, but the methods and ideas in this book were indispensable.With the info in this book and a couple of websites (fornobravo and traditionaloven) I built my own oven and loving it - go for it!

Decent little book, gives some extra guidance that might not be found online/blogs.

Very interesting book on the history of ovens and even some recipes but would have benefited from more detail on the construction itself, particularly with dimensions, material specs and quantities which were sparse.

Interesting little book, as yet we still do not have a wood oven, maybe next year?
