PERFECT for a chicken coop! Safe and Looks Great!
I used this to cover a chicken coop. I spent quite a bit more than chicken wire would have been but dang it looks good and I know I'm keeping my girls much safer!!!! I would highly recommend this. It was easy to unroll and easy to cut. I have zero complaints with this and might buy again in the future for any other projects around the house!!Was this helpful? Let me know -----> Thank you! Or if the picture was helpful, let me know!!

Good quality 1/4 inch wire
Cost a lot less then big box hardware stores. I liked that it was 4' high not 3' like big box hardware stores. Seems to be good quality.I had bought 1/2 inch from a major hardware store about a year and a half ago and the quality was poor. This wire worked perfectly to keep the snakes out of my small chicken coops where I was keeping some young birds. Snakes had already got a few and killed a good hen protecting her eggs. Kind of hard to see through because it is 1/4 ". I believe this is the best wire to keep critters out of my small coops and to keep chicks safe. I am going to get 2 more rolls to do bottom half of my larger coops. I have found nothing bad to say about it so far. BEST price I have found. WILL buy again.Update: Still working great (7/31/2014) NO MORE SNAKES IN MY CHICKEN COOPS. One of best investments I have ever made. No critter getting in my coops. I can sleep every night secure in the knowledge that my chickens and their chicks are secure. I did buy another roll of the 3'x100'. Same great quality. Did my big coop from ground to top.

Fantastic product, fantastic price
I use this to line the bottom of my raised beds to keep critters out. It's the perfect width, length, and mesh size for my beds. The zinc coating slows down rust/decomposition so once I lay it down, it lasts for many, many years. The price is fantastic (it was $59 when I bought it). The cheapest 4' x 50' roll (with 1/2" mesh size, not 1/4") was about $100 at local home improvement stores. You simply can't go wrong with this product.6/1/14 update: I dug out the dirt out of one of my raised beds this spring and got a chance to inspect the hardware cloth. It looked like it was brand new. No sign of rust or tears. I live in an area with a lot of moles. In fact, I see new mole hills in my yard almost every morning. But this product has successfully kept those moles out of my vegetable beds.

Perfect for our coop!
We were building a 8'x10'x4' open style chicken coop and needed the 1/4" Hardware cloth to keep snakes, raccoons, possums, skunks, etc out. If the critters can get their paws in, they will decapitate the chicken taking the head and leaving the body. All the 1/4" cloth we could find locally at Lowe's or Tractor Supply Company only came in 10-25 foot sections with a max height of 24". Being able to order in 48" height made it easy to secure our coop! The chickens love being able to see everything going on outside and I love knowing that nothing bigger than a small worm snake could even attempt to wiggle into the coop. It was far cheaper than anywhere else also. Great value!!

Great for Snake and Pest control
We live in rattlesnake country and used this to wrap around our chain linked back yard a few months ago. We first made a trench 6-8" deep, then wrapped and tied this all the way around and where we had to make a seam, we wove two overlapped sections with wiring nice and tight. NOTHING is getting into our yard now. Not even the cottontails and little mohave squirrels that used to squeeze through the chain link to eat or unearth plants. We placed rocks in the trench then filled it with dirt, compacting it tightly as we went. The 1/4" mesh is tight enough to also leave out larger ground crawling arachnids.

as advertised
Used for a chicken coop and run that has to be built like the Bastille to keep out racoons, owls, a german shepherd, a border collie, and goodness knows what else. Tough gloves are nice, but not essential. Spray paint it black and you can't really see it from a distance - a great little trick.

First Time working with mesh?
The material was as described and consistent throughout the roll.I am using the material on the bottom of a raised bed garden to keep out mice and moles. If you are going to need to cut or trim this material and have not had any experience working with material you can use the Wiss All-Purpose MPX Cutter. It has 3 inch long blades and does a nice job cutting long widths and trimming. I thought the material would be more flexible but it is rugged and seems durable. After the material is cut the edge has very sharp points.

At least it hasn't rusted yet...
Nothing but frustration with trying to use this around my garden, it's just flimsy enough to be frustrating to work with. Cutting it with tin snips isn't terrible but overall I would not recommend this for garden work as a barrier between burrowing animals and plant roots or as a perimeter around the garden.
