Molotow Blackliner Pen Complete Set, 11 Pens, 1 Set Each (200.485)

Great set of pens in graduating sizes, perfect for my art practices. They are waterproof and dry quickly so there’s no smudging, they play well with watercolor paints and alcohol markers

As an illustrater and Mixed Media Artist, I've tried almost every pen on the market, it seems. When I needed pens to be permanent, immoveable even by water or mediums, most smeared (and not when I wanted them to.) These pens are indeed permanent when used under Copics, Alcohol Markers in general, Graphite, or Water based markers like Tombow.) What a dream come true!! These are the workhorse (and Mono pens) in my studio. I can watercolor my backgrounds, pencil or marker my characters and details, then finish with these dark black pens without a hitch. Did I mention the mixed nib set is a joy to use? Every size I could need all in it's own pack to toss into my traveling art bag. And the tips themselves are smooth... NEVER scratchy. I adore them!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these markers! I’ve tried markers ranging from Wish->Copic & [once dry] these are SET. No black line smearing into my alcohol marker art anymore. I can’t believe they perform better than Copic’s brand! If I ever have any issues, I will update my comment. For now..These have blown my mind & I won’t be buying any other brand then Molotow!!!!

I am a multi liner addict, i draw comic book characters for a passion and have all of the best pens for the job, Copic multi Liners were my favorite until i purchased this set! They are much more affordable and darker than the rest. If you love drawing and inking with detail, give these a shot, you will not be dissapointed, and the pricepoint is a keeper.

I got these went they went on sale. They're highly recommended by one of my art teachers, but I stuck with my Microns because of the cost. I like the way these feel and how they glide across the paper. They're new to me, so I can't speak to how they work in mixed media yet or how well they hold up, but I bought a couple more sets because I go through a lot of markers and these are very very nice. Update 18 months later: I have not used all of the markers, but I use the .05 the most and use it frequently. It has taken months for daily use recently for it to begin to skip. The other markers are used occasionally and still work, no drying out. They work great for adding details to watercolors, but don't use them until the surface is completely dry or the marker will be ruined. I'd love to buy more of the .05 but they are priced a bit too high for me.

These are great for the ink work I’ve been wanting to do for years. They feel great offer solid quality ink. I’d definitely invest in another set. My only issue is a pen dropped on my desk and ruined the ink tip by pushing it into the metal shaft making the pen unusable. Small accident and now I have one less pen. The smaller size ink tips are very delicate.

These produce clear lines in a variety of widths, great for tracing over patterns for clear scanning and vector work.

All of the pens work really well and I haven't had any dry up yet. I'm glad I was able to find the full set for a cheaper price on here.

Très beau panel de crayon qui fonctionne super mais attention à ce que la surface de travail ne soit pas trop âpre car les pointes sont solides mais alors un temps seulement. Après 2 mois sur toile peinte acrylique il me faut réassorti mon set. Celui de 13 me semble moins nécessaire

These are definitely some of the best technical pens i've ever used. I started off a bit skeptical at first because they are quite expensive compared to other technical pens. Since I was already a big fan of Molotow's spraypaint and paint markers, I decided to give these a shot, and I am very glad I did. Molotow makes some of the best spraypaint available and literally the best paint markers on the market, so understandably I had high expectations. Well, needlessly to say I was impressed. The ink is very opaque and dries nearly instantaneously. The finish is a non-shiney black, perfect for scanning. Doesn't pool ink, doesn't bleed through the page, doesn't dry up even after very frequent use. Works great with alcohol markers, no unwanted blending so you can do lineart first. The only reason I bought another set is because I wanted a set for sketchbooks and a set for finished illustrations. Molotow should really consider abandoning the 11 pc set in favour of a 12 pc set with a brush pen included. If they did that, it would be the perfect set. I actually ended up really loving the chisel pen even though I thought I would hate it, it's actually very good for sketching. If you work with technical pens a lot or if technical pens are one of your most used tools then I would highly recommend picking this set up because they are very high quality and basically last forever if you cap them diligently.
