Works really well to keep oil paints wet for days! It’s larger than I thought and is great value for the price. The lid is slightly difficult to snap back on but I think it’s necessary for a good seal. I recommend for oil painters!

UPDATE- I have left my Masterson Artist Palette unopened with paint in mid April and May 28th I finally got back to it and the paint is still moist like I just put it on the pallet and theres no mold or smell. This is an amazing product. Im new at this wet palette and acrylic paint but I do like the Masterson Artist Palette Seal and I also bought the sponge and palette paper. I found no problem with taking the lid off or putting it on. It says to mark an end so you always put it on and take it off the same way and it worked for me. It does keep the acrylic paint moist for days and I will post later if I leave it in for weeks. This is a good investment in saving money from wasting paint and you can pickup from where you left off on your project without having to start over with new paint.

Opening instructions were inside the palette holder, so not super useful. It is hard to open so it must have a good seal!

Maybe it delays drying by a little bit, maybe the paint might last until the next day. But for the super fast drying paints like Prussian blue, they're still dry the next day, even after totally sealing the container all around the edges according to the instructions given. I feel that the seal is tight, but there's enough air still on the inside after it's sealed that it still dries out the paint regardless. If it makes a difference, I use paper palettes rather than the glass one that some people use, so maybe paper takes up less space leaving more room for air to still be inside. It might be good to save paint if you have to go to bed and want it to still be wet the next morning, but after 2-3 days, the paints (other than the slow drying ones like yellow) will still be drying up as if you just left them out normally. I was really hoping for something where I could paint, take a break for 2-3 days, and come back with the paint still usable, but this is not the case. Also, sealing the container tightly is a pain (literally very painful on the hands to press on the lid hard enough to properly seal it going around every inch of the edge) and it makes so little of a difference in drying speed that at this point, I don't even seal the lid and it's just a nice palette holder. It's still good as a palette holder and nicely fits a 12x16 inch palette, it does slow drying somewhat, but it did not slow drying nearly as much as I had hoped.

Good size for a pallette. I use this with my oil paints and same size palette paper. It does not provide an airtight seal so I need cling wrap to keep paints moist. I had used the grey glass type but you need clean it off right away, and use a bit elbow grease to get it cleaned. This system albeit not perfect allows for me to replace my paper as needed and with the cling wrap keeps my mixed palette ready for the next time.

Love this as it often takes me a few days to complete a painting. Keeps the paint from drying out and I can put my glass palettes in it.

This is so very useful when saving paint on your palette. Used for oils and with the sealing lid, it keeps paints from drying out between painting. The lid is somewhat flexible but it is supposedly needed for proper sealing. Time will tell but good so far.

Great size, seals very tight. Keeps oils paints fresh for much longer. Excellent addition to my equipment. Recommend getting the paper palette sheets with it as well.

Ik bewaar mijn olieverfpalet in deze doos. Zodoende kan ik mijn olieverf langer bewaren. Bespaart olieverf en het milieu. Ben er blij mee.

Boîte pour palette de peinture à l'huile. Elle est parfaitement étanche à l'air, pour cela bien suivre la consigne. En y rajoutant la plaque en vert trempé pour le mélange des peintures on peut garder celles-ci plusieurs semaines. En plus elle est très facile à nettoyer. Très belle qualité. Au départ je l'ai trouvé un peu grande mais après usage elle est parfaite.

Purtroppo delusa perché la chiusura è difficile e non mi aiuta facilmente a conservare tavolozza.

This is huge, and well worth the money. I would totally recommend it to any painter out there trying to keep their paints lasting extra time.
