This is a really good pine tar shampoo. Inexpensive and good value. Now that the popular polytar shampoo is unavailable this one is a very good option and I shall buy more

pine tar shampoo
dissapointed with this product- very watery and didn't lather up very well . i,ve had a different brand before especially since Polytar shampoo has been unavailable. Not worth the money- and i brought 2 bottles!

Ah. They've updated the picture.
When I ordered this product a few weeks ago, the accompanying image was very different. The description also said it would ship from France. I was contacted to say my order would now be coming from Bulgaria. This didn't seem to affect the shipping time too badly, but I think the actual product has also changed.Originally, the bottle contents were pictured as very dark brown, like the excellent (but no longer available) Christina May product I was seeking to replace. I don't remember that lettering and the bottle was more squat- it was definitely a different picture. The current picture is accurate. Yes, the product I was sent lists pine tar on the ingredients. And it has a slightly pine-tarry smell (but to my nose, there's something chemically and unpleasant about it.) As is now clear from the pale colour, this is just like plain old shampoo with a hint of pine tar. I guess the low price actually *was* too good to be true.I suppose this review is somewhat redundant as you can now see from the picture whether or not this is the sort of shampoo you are looking for. I suspect it's not. I've given three stars because it's not unuseable and does contain pine tar. But it's neither what I wanted nor what I thought I was ordering. Please be aware, the five-star review (by hazanne) was present when I made my order and therefore was posted when the image (and possibly the product?) was different.

Love the smell
I bought it for my problematic scalp. Cannot use shampoo without coal tar. As polytar shampoo is no longer available I try the pine tar. Excellent lathering but more importantly, it soothes my itchy scalp.
