Il Volo - Christmas Favorites

These young men are wonderful. I have bought everything they have. I love the DVD and play that often. My prediction is Il Volo will go far, if they stayed focused and don't let this all go to their heads. I guess we all pick a favorite, mine is Ignazio with his feeling when singing, his range in the music and his bubbly performance - and those dimples!; he really looks like he is enjoying it all. BUT each of the boys are very talented. Pietro also has a wonderful range and seems to be the serious one. Then there is Gianluca ~ he is very talented and beautiful! Yes, he would turn the heads of any woman ~ golly, I'm 80 and my old eyes tried seriously to open widely!! Really, they are marvelous in their blending of the music. I just hope they will continue to make more DVDs and CDs. I adore Andrea Bocelli and I would say I would put them right there near him at the top.

What can I say? I must start off by saying I fell in love with IL VOLO when I heard them sing O' sole mio. I am very happy with their versions of these christmas songs. I really liked panis angelicus, which is a beautiful song that sung with their great voices sounds even more beautiful. It was very interesting listening to silent night in German, it was beautuful as well as the English one. Every song sung by IL VOLO is beautiful. Their voices are a gift from GOD simple as that, they have the gift to sing everything and to sing it beautiful. I really recommend this x-mas cd, as well as their debut cd which is the best I've heard in a long... time.

Il Volo is to me a young version of Il Divo. I saw them on YouTube and was taken by the depth of their voices despite their young ages. I like to support up and coming artists, so I bought several of these cd's both for my personal use and to give as gifts. I like to introduce new talent to friends who might appreciate them as much as I. I hope they make it big!

I had never heard of the group or album until I saw a small clip on an email someone sent. It just blew me away, that these young teen boys had such beautiful and powerful voices, it was unbelievable. Got out the old Kindle, clicked on Amazon and purchased all 3 albums that were available which included a Xmas Album. I was so impressed with albums that I then purchased 2 more of their Concert Album for Xmas gifts. Trust me I am not into opera, do not understand Italian, but you just have to love their singing, very moving and powerful. You do not need to understand Italian, you will understand the music in the feeling of their voices.

Delighted to have received a revised downward pricing on this item, and amso happy to hear this group of youngsters aspiring to such beautiful music. The sound on the disc, however, was somewhat flat, not nearly as rich as when I heard them on tv.

I have to say when ordering this this CD, I was really wondering how the sound quality was going to be for CHRISTMAS music. I mean everyone knows how great these guys sound as a group on everyday song titles, but I was wondering how they would be on Traditional Christmas Titles. These songs, which may be TRADITIONAL AND WELL KNOWN by all of us, May Not be by them, so I was wondering how they would sound (as far a in-tonation, etc., )...all I can say....? MAGNIFICO!!!!! BRAVO!!! LOVE THE CHRISTMAS CD AS MUCH AS THE OTHER CD!

When the the remarkable three tenors became only a memory, we were blessed with three young men from Italy and Sicily who offer that same wonderful gift along with the vigor of youth that transcends any expectation. To hear their voices melded in song is to visit a musical Valhalla on the wings of tonal excellence combined with gusto rarely found in most artists today. Five stars doesn't do this young trio justice. A firm "must buy" for any music lover with Amazon providing audio CD and iPod links. Thanks to Geffen Records for bringing this treasure to our country.
