Our normal domino set was too heavy to pack for a family trip, but this domino card deck was the perfect solution. There are even cards with different colored trains on them to use as game pieces. The cards start out very slippery and are a bit hard to deal, but still a great packable option.

I love dominoes, but they aren't great for travelling because of their weight. These cards definitely solve that problem. They are much bigger than regular dominoes, so you'll need extra room to play traditional dominoes games. The quality of the cards is on par with most other games. I wouldn't say they are great quality, but they are average.

Super easy to learn game. I just recently played it with a friend that had her parents' old set of dominos. I don't have all of the rules down yet, but after playing a few times I'm sure I will get it. Score sheet nice addition. Everything fits in the original box, just need to add a pen/pencil. I like games that are self-contained and take minimal storage space. The best part of the game is the number of players. A few, a lot, no even amounts. If you get into higher numbers, I'm guessing you will need some more table space. A good game for the whole family. Take notice where the first 'double' is laid. You pretty much branch down from that.

I love this because its cards and not dominos. Domino’s are so heavy. Mexican train is a fun game. Being that they are cards you will need a lot of space to play. We play on the floor. The box it came in was an after thought for sure. Its a plain black box that holds the deck of cards, score pad, and instructions but it really doesn’t fit the game very well. The box does not close right because the deck of cards it just too thick.We tossed the box and added this to our skipper game bag. (B0BP5L71MJ on amazon) you should check this game bag out too. It’s small and perfect for games just like this mexican train.This mexican train is one of a few dozen games we keep in the skipper.

This would make a great white elephant gift idea or gift basket filler for someone. It's packaged really well and no wrapping paper would even be needed which is nice. The cards are nice quality, not easily bendable. I played this game for my first time not too long ago and have been hooked. I love that these are easy to throw in bag and bring with you anywhere!

My family loves playing Mexican Train dominoes but the board and dominoes are heavy and not easy to travel with. I was so happy to find a card version of our favorite game! Now we can play it on vacation. It comes with the deck of dominoes cards in a box, a score pad and directions. The score pad and directions are not inside the card box. They all come in a small cardboard book you could keep in but wish they had it all in a nice sturdy travel case.

This set of double-twelve domino cards is exactly what you'd expect -- all normal-sized playing cards that look like dominoes instead of Ace through King. They are definitely much more portable than the heavy double-twelve set of real dominoes we always end up lugging around. However, they are definitely going to take up more space on the table as you play than regular dominoes would. So in that way, they seem a little inconvenient. But as long as you have plenty of room to play at the table, you'll be fine.

We love this board game but too much to take away so this is a great alternative
